Do it for God
I had a problem of finding motivation in the work I do, I asked God for wisdom, I felt like I just found it, before I tell you more, here's what I realized through that wisdom whilst working out at the gym...
Because God loved us first, we do everything for God
He sent his perfect son to die on the cross for us for our imperfect lives. He knew that, and yet He chose to do it. Isn't that an amazing form of love
Before we were born, He loved us, He did that for us
That showsmanship of love compels us to please Him and to thank Him, through multiple means; reading books, walking, eating food, treating others with kindness, building a business that serves others, skydiving, playing chess. Everything can be seen as a way to glorify God
How? Because God wants us to do all these things
Take care of our body
Serve others through your giving
Experience His creation
Surviving and living on
Now, to get back, I said to myself, "What if I can reframe the actions I felt lazy to do, to one that serves God, the ones that He wants me to d?o"
That is the ultimate procrastination killer. Infact, I didn't want to write this post, but because I wanted to thank Him for sending His son to die for us, I want to make this post to spread His message. I wanted to be an ambassador of God.
Now, I'm sure that there will be some things I will be sooo lazy to do, so I still got lots of implementation to go before I test how well it works for me. But I know for a fact that the best Christians who are motivated to work and have a passion for work and passion for other things in life, this is a huge motivation for them.
Because God loved us first, we are compelled to do this for God
And when we do it, we get a reward
"Isn't that a bit conditional, Tony? I do something,g I get a reward?"
No. The same way you do something for your mom because you love her.
And because your mom appreciates the good thing you have done for her, she feels compelled to give back as a way of saying thank you and as a way of showing appreciation
In the same way, when we do what pleases God, He blesses us.
This is where the saying "God wants to bless you" comes from
He also blesses us in other ways, but we're not going to get into that
With all that being said, I want to ask you a question. And I want to hear an answer from you in the comments
"What is one thing in your daily routine that you can do differently with the attitude of thankfulness because of what God did for you?""
