Happy Mother's Day. ❤️
I mean that with my whole heart and also with the full understanding that today can hold a lot of different things at once. For me, this one is bittersweet. Being a mom is honestly a miracle I don't take for granted. After my accident years ago, I wasn't sure my body would ever be able to carry a baby. The road to healing physically and emotionally was long. And somehow, here I am, with the wildest, most exhausting, most handsome little boy on the planet. So yeah. Being called Mama hits different for me. But this is also my first Mother's Day without my mom. And I'm still figuring out how to hold both of those things. I'm telling you this because I know today isn't simple for everyone. Maybe you're celebrating with your babies and it's the best day ever. Maybe you're missing someone. Maybe becoming a mom was its own complicated journey. Maybe all of the above, somehow, at the same time. Whatever today looks like for you... I see you. Thank you for being here and for showing up for your family even on the hard days. That's what mamas do. P.S. Go do something today, even something small, just for you. You've earned it.
