Reminder: Live Mat Class Today & Tomorrow (Perfect if you're feeling stiff or sore)
Feeling a bit “meh” in your body today? Stiff, tight or your back just not quite right? That’s usually not just a stretching problem…It’s often a strength and control issue, especially around your core. That’s exactly what we work on in today’s live mat class. We’ll help you: - wake up your core - release tight areas (without forcing stretches) - move with more control and less discomfort Nothing crazy. Just simple, effective Pilates that actually makes you feel better. See you later.

Hi everyone 👋 Just a quick reminder that Tori is hosting a live in-person session today and tomorrow so make sure you jump in. If you’re able to join, it’s a great chance to move a little, ask questions and spend some time working through things together. Also keep an eye out because we have 2 new videos dropping in our classroom in the next few hours that should be really helpful. Would be great to see some of you there.

Most Back Pain Isn’t a “Back Problem”… It’s a Core Problem
One of the biggest misconceptions I see with new Pilates clients is this: They think their back hurts because their back is weak. But in most cases, the real issue is something else entirely - the deep core muscles aren’t doing their job. When the deep stabilisers (TA, pelvic floor, multifidus) don’t activate properly, the body starts compensating: - The lower back takes over - The hips get tight - The shoulders start working overtime And eventually… something complains. That’s why stretching alone rarely fixes chronic back pain. You can stretch every day and still feel tight if the support system isn’t working. Pilates focuses on rebuilding that support system first. Small movements. Slow control. Deep stabilisation. Then suddenly things start to change. People often tell us: "My back finally feels supported." Curious to hear from you: What bothers you the most right now? 1. Lower back pain 2. Tight hips 3. Stiff shoulders/neck 4. Weak core 5. Something else Comment with the number (or explain your situation). Let’s see what people in the community are struggling with most.
