How pro vaulters overcome issues we all face!
Running Through During Warm-ups Many vaulters, both beginners and experienced, struggle with run throughs at some point of their career, often due to nerves, lack of focus, or overthinking. Just because some vaulters have made it to the big leagues, doesn’t mean they don’t have practices where they get frustrated with their performance. How Pros Overcome It: Pro vaulters also run through at times, but they handle it by staying calm and treating these moments as part of the process. They understand that sometimes taking a step back and moving to a shorter run, for example, doesn’t mean they are losing progress, they use it as an opportunity to work on other aspects of the vault that they might have overlooked before and therefore grow as an athlete. They don’t see this challenge as failure, they approach the issue tactically and keep their head cool. Maybe you should do the same :D Fear of Going Up a Bigger Pole The Issue: Moving up to a bigger pole is often intimidating. Many vaulters hesitate, seeing it as a challenge they’re not ready for or feeling unsure about how to manage it. How Pros Overcome It: Pros approach going up a pole with a mindset of opportunity rather than fear. They see it as a tool to help them jump higher and break records, not just as a hurdle to overcome. Their positive perception allows them to embrace the change with confidence. There are so many aspects of the vault to worry about so pole choice shouldn’t be one of them. They move up a pole when it is absolutely necessary meaning they’ve squeezed everything out of the previous pole. They see the decision of pole change as a logical option, not something they are on the fence on. If your coach tells you to go up a pole, it is most likely an educated decision, so trust that the jump on the previous pole is sufficient and focus on your cues instead of worrying what could happen if everything doesn’t go perfect. You most likely don’t even have to do the perfect jump to make the next pole work. If it helps, try to tape all your poles the same so it almost feels like you’re not even going up a pole.
How to Become Your Dream Self Using AI
We all have that ideal version of ourselves — the person we dream of becoming, with the perfect balance of productivity, focus, and fulfillment. But how do we actually live like that person before we've even become them? It can be tough to figure out exactly how to structure our days like the best version of ourselves, but that’s where AI can help. Here’s a method to develop a daily routine that aligns with your dream self, using AI to guide the process. It's straightforward, and with just a few steps, you can start creating a schedule that mirrors the habits of your ideal self. Step 1: Use AI to Craft Your Dream Routine First, download the ChatGPT app on your phone. The reason we use this app is that it allows you to record detailed voice inputs, which makes the process faster and more personal. Step 2: Give AI the Right Prompt Next, you’ll need to guide the AI to understand your goals. Here’s a basic prompt to get started: "Help me create a daily schedule that aligns with the life of my ideal self. I want this schedule to reflect the values, priorities, and goals of the person I want to become. Don't create the schedule just yet, I will now explain who my ideal self is." Feel free to modify this in any way to make it more personal, but the key is to make sure the AI understands that you’re looking for a routine that reflects who you want to be, not necessarily who you are right now. Step 3: Describe Your Dream Self Now, it’s time to dive deep into the details. Use the voice recording feature to explain to the AI who your ideal self is. Think about the following: - What is their profession? - What are their daily habits? - What do they prioritize (health, productivity, relationships, etc.)? - What challenges do they overcome? - What values do they embody? - How do they balance personal and professional life? Be as detailed as possible. The more you share about your ideal self, the better the AI will be at helping you craft a daily routine that mirrors that vision.

Cutting down on my screen time!
Been really bad with procrastination this summer ever since I took 4 weeks off from training. At my worst, my screen time was 6h/day, which was a clear signal that things needed to change. Journaling and meditation have helped me focus on the things that matter. My mind's been clearer and I'm overall more focused. I've also seen a significant rise in productivity. I'm seeing myself improving every day, which just helps with my overall well-being a lot! Every little success is a win so don't be afraid to share yours! This community is meant to help you celebrate achievements with everyone so we can feed off of each other's wins and progress together! -Eerik 🔨

What are you currently working on?
Pre-season training just started and I'm looking to get a better idea of what you'll be working on this Fall :) My priorities this season are mostly physical and mental health related. I'm tracking the volume of my training every day so I have a better overview of what my body can handle and how I should structure my training. As for the mental training, I started tracking how I feel daily again as well as meditating consistently to ensure I'm grounded once I start jumping again. How are you preparing for the upcoming season this Fall? What are you focused on?
