I had zero knowledge about Salesforce or how to set it up, but after completing the Salesforce Fundamentals Module, I found the lessons easy to follow and understand because they were delivered in simple English. By following the video guide, I was able to set up the Salesforce Developer Org and navigate the platform. I have learnt about cloud computing and the functions of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. SaaS delivers ready-made applications, PaaS enables customisation of the platform to align with business needs, while IaaS is used for storing data virtually in the cloud. I also learnt that Salesforce is not just a SaaS platform, as it includes other cloud functions. In addition, I learnt about Salesforce multi-tenant architecture layers, which are the presentation layer, logic layer, and data layer.
