When I first started in my oil painting journey, I was SUPER overwhelmed with picking supplies.
TOO many options!!!!
A quick look onto Dick Blick (online art super store) and you would be SERIOUSLY inundated with decisions like:
⚠️ What brushes are good for a beginner?
⚠️ Why can’t I use my other art brushes?
⚠️ What the hell size is a #4?
⚠️ What paints should I try? I didn’t want expensive stuff but I didn’t want shitty paint either.
⚠️ What would I paint ON? Canvas? Other options?
And all this with the thought -
😖😖😖😖😖 WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE PAINTING WITH OIL? 😖😖😖😖😖😖
I was painting with acrylics and I liked it. But I could see that oil paints were SO much richer in depth and color and I REALLY wanted to try them. But I was also worried about things like:
❓ What about dry time? I don’t want to let my paintings dry that long!
❓ GOSH, oil paints are so much more expensive!!!
❓ I hear that blending colors is so risky!
❓ Are they toxic and STINKY?
❓ What is this fat over lean shit?
My FIRST of many investments in Oil painting was about $300 and that was only the beginning!
So, I was determined to make this EASIER for beginners.
A SOLUTION - because the struggle was REAL!
A low risk startup kit. Try it and no remorse if you hate it and want to pitch it all.
So I built what I wish I had.
✅ A simple setup that has been tested.
✅ Brushes that move the paint the way they’re supposed to.
✅ A surface that doesn’t fight you (this part matters more than you think. More to come.)
✅ And most importantly — a place to start
These kits include access to a step-by-step painting tutorial along inside this community so you’re not just looking at supplies wondering “What the F💣 do I do now?”.
Open the box.
Press play.
Start painting.
And if you already have supplies?
There is a list of what I teach with there in the link too.
This isn’t about buying stuff.
It’s about finally starting.
