I know this isn’t about painting, but there’s something so special about a favorite cup. This was given to me by my nephews and it is the cup I drink coffee from every single day. It’s me! It’s getting packed to make move to Texas again. Which means I’ll have to drink coffee without it for the next week. It’s ok. So the question is, why do we have a favorite cup?

So my 8 hour challenge did turn into 12 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I love him and will be sad to give him to a friend for their birthday. 🫣🥰 Thought 🧐

We're going to see just how badly we can fuck up a perfectly innocent image. 😂 HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: I am going to describe a ridiculously simple image (that would make a cool painting). Then each person tries describes what pops into their mind based on the previous comments. Describe what you thin the image looks like. Add as many comment descriptions as you like after you read mine and others. 🫟🫟🫟🫟🫟🫟 Example: Original: photo of a red cardinal sitting on a snowy branch. Person 1: "Small red thing sitting on something cold and woody." Person 2: "Tiny angry red creature freezing its ass off on a stick." Person 3: "Furious miniature devil stranded in a frozen forest." And by person 10 we're painting Satan riding a popsicle through Wisconsin.

For IRL summer 2026 Painting for Drawing Dropouts. Now, for the next 7 months, the only way to have these INSANELY successful painting classes, is here on Skool. Here are some pics from the event. And a big HUGE thank you to both @Kate Bullock and @Karen Mack for shipping your paintings to me so they could be displayed. And while no-one decided they needed it at home, they gleaned a LOT of attention but the attendees. And a HUGE thank you to @Heather Boers and Malia for driving all the way over (2+ hours) to come hang with us for a few hours again.

Exhibition DAY! Last year, we had about 100 people come in (including students). They talked and drank and looked at what first year students created in my IRL class. It was a BIG hit. This year, we have 29 paintings that will go on display. Some will be for sale and I am so excited about this. @Kate Bullock @Karen Mack have sent some of their work to offer for sale. The building itself is like a museum and it's a fun challenge to display the art in the middle of the room. I hope to share some Video with you this afternoon.
