Mindfully deciding your life
Hey,
I wanted to make this post on managing your life in an efficient way with a consciousness spin on it, based on some realizations I've been starting to make in my life.
I'll call this a "freedom from drives."
And i don't mean not feeling feelings or being devoid of any drive. It doesn't have to be so extreme, to me.
What I'm trying to say is how the "pulling force" of them is not the point, not the driving force behind how we decide live our lives, or make decisions from or act.
Ever notice how much the shit we KNOW we shouldn't do, we do because we are DRIVEN to do so? Even if we intentionally do it, it's still pulled in that direction and influenced BY these drives.
Mindfully living our lives requires that we be free from these pulling forces and decide with calm, clear intent, and have the presence of mind to make these decisions with the proper outlook.
Instead of an indistinct, emotional part of our minds, an "unconscious" part, making decisions FOR us, we can now have an alignment with our greater "instincts" or true clarity by freeing ourselves from these unconscious drives. And then, what remains?
