Crochet 101 Basics is happening in 12 hours
START HERE: Your First 24 Hours in the Sanctuary 🕊️🧶
Welcome home! You made it. Take a second to just exhale. You’ve officially entered a "No-Hustle Zone." Whether you’re here to tackle anxiety, find a creative spark, or you just want a hobby that doesn't involve a glowing screen, we are so glad you’re here. In the Sanctuary, we aren’t just learning to make knots; we’re learning a new language of relaxation. To help you get settled without the "new group" jitters, here is your 4-step map for your first day: Step 1: Learn the "Sanctuary Roadmap" 🗺️ Before you dive into the stitches, head over to the Classroom and open the module: "Your Journey from Deep Inhale to Sanctuary Master." This is your guide to how we grow here. You'll see our 9 Levels—from Knot Nervous to Yarn Sage—and the specific courses you unlock at each milestone. Step 2: The Point System (Creative Karma) 📈 In the Sanctuary, we reward kindness and engagement. 1 Like = 1 Point. * When you post or comment and a neighbor "likes" it, you earn points. You only need 5 points to reach Level 2 (Knot Nervous) and unlock your first bonus course: The 2026 Lab! Step 3: The "Meet & Greet" (The Handshake) 🤝 Head over to the Community Tab and find "The Handshake" category. This is our digital welcome mat. Pull up a chair and tell us: What’s your "why"? What are you hoping to "unravel" (like stress) while you're here? The Yarn Vibe: Is your current stash neat and tidy, or a total "yarn-nado"? The Uniform: Do you have a favorite pair of stitching pants yet? (Hard pants are strictly optional). Step 4: Grab Your Toolkit (The Classroom) 🎒 Open the folder: "The Getting Grounded Toolkit." Watch the 3-Breath Hook-Up video. It’s only 3 minutes long, but it will change the way you pick up your hook forever.
Re-introducing myself
As you may have guessed, I am Melissa. I am a mother that is blessed with the fortune to stay home with my 3 littles and homeschool them. They are 13, 9 & 7. I have a 27yr old whom does not live at home and 6 bonus kids ranging from age 19-30. I'm real-life, I talk alot. I was a military child moving every 2.5 to 3 yrs and it's how I learned to manage. I also tent to be a fixed and natural born nurturer. These two gifts aren't always my strong suites. I am Gemini. For those that know, that explains alot, but for the rest I will fill you in. I dont do well with exact punctuality, strick schedules or conflicting morals. I say morals verse rules because the ones we choose to follow usually have a moral purpose. My day depends on two things, actual accountable appointments and my mood. I function on goal setting and achievements. I may be a little undiagnosed ADHD and definitely carry some OCD traits. Mental health has slapped me in the face time and time again through life; mine as well as those I love. Addiction has been a beast i have watched enough love ones battle that I stand clear of any unhealthy addiction. I have seen, heard and endured things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemies. I have always shown up for everyone else. As I near 50, I am learning to show up for me. Crochet is a huge part of that. It is also my business. Which is evolving along with me. I truly hope to find peace in transparency, growth thru vulnerability, and community throughout this journey. Please take a moment to introduce yourself.
