Peaceful goal
My peaceful goal this year is to simplify. My family and I moved August 2024 from NH to FL and this last year there has been lots of new “stuff” to get used to and navigate with 3 kids. Now that we are more settled I’d like to simplify my household and business practices to create less friction and more flow so everyday is a little more simple and peaceful.

This is a great goal! Do you find that maintaining simplified requires great discipline? For me, in some seasons it almost seems harder. Almost like staying on top of not letting things accumulate and clutter gets bigger. Plus, there are 3 other personalities to wrangle and the hubs. Just curious what helps you.
Pull up a chair... I want to hear your heart for 2026. ☕✨
Hi everyone, I’ve been doing a lot of talking lately—sharing my "No-Buy" pledge, my hopes for this Sanctuary, and even the messy truth about how my favorite hobby started feeling like a chore. Thank you for listening and for stepping into this space with me. But today, I’m putting my hook down and pulling up a chair because I want to hear from you. Whether you’ve been following my journey since the beginning or you just found this community five minutes ago, you belong here. This isn't just my Sanctuary; it’s ours. I’ve put my 2026 goals out there (trading the "Yarn-nado" for more intentional, peaceful stitches), but now it’s your turn. I want to know what’s sitting on your heart as we start this new year together. If you’re comfortable sharing, tell me: ❤️What is your "One Word" for 2026? 🌹What is one thing you want to let go of in your creative life this year? (Maybe it’s the guilt of unfinished projects, or the pressure to be perfect?) 👑What is a "peaceful goal" you have for yourself? 👋Do you have a community of your own here on Skool? Share it with us. 💡Is said community doing any fun challenges this month? Today is the day to share it all and connect. There are no wrong answers here. This is a "no-hustle" zone. Whether your goal is to finally finish that one blanket or simply to pick up your hook for five minutes when the world gets too loud, I want to celebrate it with you. Heck, your goal doesn't even have to be crochet or craft related, I wanna know about you! Drop your thoughts in the comments below. I’ll be here all day reading and replying—I can’t wait to get to know you all a little deeper. With love, Melissa

My Latest Upcycled Project! ✂️
Last night, I put my scrap bin to good use! To help with some elbow pain (cubital and carpal tunnel) and the winter chill, I created a 2-in-1 Elbow Pillow & Lap Blanket. The mini-pillow is stuffed with fabric scraps to provide firm support for my elbow, while the attached lap blanket is the perfect size for staying cozy while I’m seated. It’s amazing what you can create when you design specifically for your own needs!

I’m shopping my shelves and finding my flow
I am especially looking forward to use all my relative thin wool yarn, perfect for hook/anker number 5. I will organise and make a better system of the stash yarn and WIPs next week when the assistants helping me with everyday tasks return.
