The Messy Kitchen 🍳 — 12 Weeks of Healthy, Budget-Friendly Meals
Let's have a real serious talk about food: "𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆" 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 when you're tired, busy, trying to be healthy, and watching your budget. So for the next 12 Tuesdays, that's exactly what we're tackling in The Messy Kitchen: 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 that don't need a specialist diet, a fully-stocked pantry, or hours you don't have. Every week you'll get one recipe built around three things: - it has to be quick, - it has to be genuinely good for you, - and it has to be kind to your wallet. I'll break down the ingredients, the time it actually takes, why it's good for your body, how to make it even cheaper, and one fun fact because food should still be a little bit fun. This isn't about perfection. It's about becoming a bit more aware of what's going into your body, one Tuesday at a time, and proving to yourself that "healthy" and "affordable" aren't opposites. Your turn: what's the number one thing that makes healthy eating feel hard for you right now: time, money, motivation, or just not knowing what to cook? Drop it in the comments. It'll help me make sure this series actually solves the right problem. 👇 AND - if you have a special recipe you'd like to share - send me a DM. Claim your place in the spotlight. The entire series will be built into a course in the classroom so that you can easily access all the recipes. If you share a recipe with us, you will enter The Messy Kitchen HALL of FAME. Recipe 1 drops next Tuesday.

🎨 COLOUR POP IS BACK — grab your crayons, this one's a good one!
I have a confession: I've been sitting on this month's reveal for weeks because I was way too excited - I almost couldn't contain myself. Meet our August muse, 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀: the woman who looked at design software and decided it was way too complicated for regular humans (like us), and built Canva instead. No big deal, just a tool now used by millions of us to make pretty things without a design degree in sight. She's straight out of Dezré Little's gorgeous Radiant Ventures Vol. 1 colouring book, which is a whole collection of colouring in pages celebrating 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 "𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲" 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 "𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗲." Bold dreams, glow-up stories, quotes that'll hit you right in the chest while you're just trying to stay inside the lines. Here's the bit that inspirec me: Melanie didn't build Canva for designers. She built it for everyone else. The people who never thought "creative" applied to them. That's the whole plot twist. Access over exclusivity. And honestly? That's my kind of claiming-your-space energy. So while you're colouring her in, toss this question around in your head: 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵? HOW TO PLAY (still ridiculously simple): 1️⃣ Download the picture below 2️⃣ Colour her in using crayons, gel pens, acrylic - it doesn't matter, there are no rules 3️⃣ Snap a pic + drop it in the comments 🏆 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗘: the winning entry walks away with a 𝗥𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 to treat yourself. 🗓️ 𝗞𝗘𝗬 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦: Entries close: Monday, 31 August 2026 Winner announced: shortly after, so keep this tab open 👀 Grab your pencils, your kid's crayon box, whatever's within arm's reach and let's get colourful. I can't wait to see what she becomes in your hands. Happy colouring!

Before You do Anything: Introduce yourself.
Welcome to MyClearLight! Before you explore the Classroom, before you join your first Paintfest, before you pick your affirmation card, we want to know who you are. Not your job title, not your CV, not your list of achievements. The real stuff. The interesting stuff. The stuff that makes you a human being rather than a professional. Here is what we’d love you to share: 🙋 WHO ARE YOU? Your name & what people actually call you, not just what’s on your LinkedIn. 🌍 WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Not just your city. Give us a sense of your world. 🦄 YOUR QUIRKY SKILL OR WEIRD ABILITY The thing you can do that is genuinely useless, mildly baffling, or impossible to put on a CV. The stranger the better. 📷 SHARE A PHOTO We’re a visual community and we love seeing your world. Share one photo of where you are right now with your introduction. That’s it. That’s your only job right now. Post your introduction. Say hello. Have a look around at your leisure. We are genuinely glad you’re here. — Caro & the MyClearlight Community ✨
Friday Funnies - Dancing Cows Edition 🤣🐮🐂
🤠 Friday Funnies: Even the cows are doing the Git Up! 🐄 Happy Friday, everyone! I stumbled on this and could not stop giggling: the Peterson Farm Bros teaching their cows the Git Up line dance (yes, the actual cows join in). It's silly, it's sweet, and honestly it's the exact energy I want for the weekend. Bonus: it's a real line dance, so if you watch closely you might just pick up a step or two. 😄 Anyone want to learn it with me? Grab your cowboy hat and boots and let’s dance! 👉 Cows Dance to the Git Up Drop a 🤠 if this made you smile too!
The Journal Jam: ✨ What Does "Finding My Light" Mean to You?
I’ve been sitting with this journal prompt myself this week: What does "finding my light" mean to me? And honestly? My answer keeps changing. Some days “finding my light” means the quiet five minutes with my coffee before the house wakes up. Other days it’s the moment I stop apologising for taking up space and just… show up as me. It’s not one big lightning-bolt realization, it’s smaller than that, and it sneaks up on you in the most ordinary moments. That’s the thing about light, though. You don’t always see it directly, you notice what it touches. The way it falls across a room. The way you feel different after naming something true out loud. The way a hard season makes you appreciate an easy one. So today I’m turning the question over to you: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 “𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁” 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂? There’s no wrong answer here. It might be a person, a habit, a place, a version of yourself you’re still becoming. Grab a notebook (or just the comments box) and see what comes up. How to play: 1️⃣ Sit with the prompt for a minute, no overthinking, just notice what surfaces 2️⃣ Jot it down, even just a sentence or two 3️⃣ Share your reflection in the comments below I’ll go first in the comments, and I’d love to read yours. This is exactly the kind of reflecting we do together in Journal Jam, look out for our very first Journal Jam event coming in September. Drop your reflection on “Finding My Light” in the comments.
