Compromise with City Council
After a month and a half of somewhat tense negotiations, I reached a great compromise with city Council on how to go about the water metering project in the community I’m buying next week. They wanted me to dig 25 water meter pits, which would’ve been incredibly invasive digging between and underneath homes. But they agreed to allow me to dig the pits only as sites became vacant, and put the remaining meters inside the existing homes so we will still be able to direct bill all the sites. It ended up being a very collaborative effort and the solution we reached is a win for me, a win for the town, and a win for the residents. Now all that’s left is to close and actually execute on my business plan!
