🏆 MINI APPS COMPETITION: CYCLE #1 WINNERS!!
Cycle 1 is officially in the books. 62 Mini Apps submitted, all of them scored by the Nimiq Community Council, and the results are final. 🥁 Drumroll please… 🥇 1st place: Nimiq Space by @Harley NSpace An open multiplayer world where wallet-signed players can see who is online right now, paint a persistent 500x500 collaborative floor, and build rooms that sync live for everyone in them. 🥈 2nd place: NimJump by @Emre Alt An arcade game built around a minimal client-authority architecture, where the server replays every run itself instead of trusting the score the client reports. 🥉 3rd place: NimQuest by @mystiquemide A learn-and-prove Mini App with server-graded quizzes, where a completion only counts once you sign a one-time message in Nimiq Pay. Congratulations to all three. Winners will be contacted directly to arrange payout. To everyone else who submitted, thank you. You shipped something real in four weeks and set the bar high for future cycles. Every app you built is yours under the MIT License, so keep going with it. 🗓️ Cycle 2 opens August 24. Same $17,000 USDT prize pool, four Sip & Ship calls, submissions close September 18 at 23:59 UTC. If your app did not place this time, you can refine it and submit it again. 🏆 MINI APPS COMPETITION: CYCLE #1 WINNERS!!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Cycle #2 New START Date: Aug 24
Following a network upgrade, it's been decided to push the Cycle #2 start date to Aug 24 in order to ensure the Nimiq Pay app is fully updated and clear of any bugs before builders start shipping. In the grand scheme of things, this changes nothing. If anything, it gives you an extra week to get building.💪

ATTENTION: Some submissions need fixes before the deadline
Hey builders, We've been reviewing the Cycle 1 submissions and a few of them are not meeting the submission criteria yet. Some are quick fixes like a missing MIT license, others need a bit more attention. VERY IMPORTANT: If you've submitted a pull request, please check your GitHub notifications. The team has left comments on each PR tagging the submitter with what needs to be fixed. You should have gotten an email notification from GitHub. If you're not sure whether your submission is affected, go check your PR here: https://github.com/nimiq/miniappscompetition-submissions/pulls Please address any comments as soon as possible so your submission is eligible before the deadline. Don't let a small technicality disqualify a Mini App you've worked hard on. If you have any questions, drop them below 👇 and we'll help you sort it out.
Friendly reminder: Community Rules
Hey builders, As we wrap up Cycle 1 scoring (more details to be announced soon) and prepare to announce the dates for Cycle 2, we want to remind everyone that the Skool community is and will continue to be a safe, supportive, and inspiring space where builders connect, collaborate, and lift each other up. That's what makes this community special. As a reminder, these conduct rules apply to all participants: - Participants must engage respectfully in all community spaces, including calls, channels, and forums. - Nimiq may disqualify any participant for violent, aggressive, or abusive behavior, even after a winner has been announced. This includes name-calling, personal attacks, and publicly shaming other participants. Remaining payouts may be revoked. - Nimiq reserves the right to disqualify any submission that violates these rules at any point during or after the competition cycle. (See the full Conduct section). We also want to clarify one important point. It is not the community's role to investigate, question, or police another participant's Mini App or any tactics used. That responsibility belongs solely to the judges. If you have a genuine concern about the integrity of any submission or participant, report it to us (Mini apps competition, @Yasmine Romdhane) directly and we will review it. That is our role! We've also created a new Rules tab in the community to share the rules with any new builders. We encourage you to read them. Let's keep building for Cycle 2! 💪
