This weekend was another SC gala. Overall both my swimmers got PBs in all their events however didn't do well in breast stroke that is usually their best stroke. Could that be they are not practicing enough if it anymore?

The highlight of the day was when the ten year old was placed in same heat with 17-23 year olds. We had a good laugh about it when we saw the program. His brother teased him that he will be the toilet paper of the heat. To everyone surprise, he bit one 17 year old by more than 25M! Talk about being the under dog. He dropped his time by 49 secs in 400 free. He is 6 sec away from qualifying for level 3 competitions in South Africa. He is hoping to qualify for more events. The competitions are only next year march. He will still be 10. It's from 11and under. Last year he qualified for level 2 at eight years old. He had to compete against 10 years olds.

The brother also did well but he will be 12 by March 2027, so he has to work extra hard if he has to qualify for more events. It doesn't help him much as they are in the same training group. Any idea how I can assist him to work extra hard?
