A fun fact we experienced during our gala weekend in Oranjemund, a tiny diamond mining town in the sperrgebiet (forbidden area in german) National park. It is located about 1100km from the capital city and there are no commercial flight to it. It is nearly 3000km to the far northern part of Namibia. Hence inhabitants of oranjemung rarely travel inland and prefer doing their shopping across the border in South Africa. This is the Orange River Mouth, the point where the Orange river meets the Atlantic ocean. It is a sight to behold in person. Hope you are able to understand my accent.
