We're back!!!
Friends! Skool has started offering a "hobby plan" which makes hosting the group waaaay more affordable, so I'm going for it! I have noticed myself thinking, I wish I could just pop this or that into the community so the timing was perfect! And fall is my favorite and it always gives me a bunch of energy, so yay! I'll send this out in a newsletter as well so folks get the heads up. Here's the two videos I had wanted to share today, I'm doing SO much art right now so it was fun to come across another therapist recognizing the nervous system benefits of creativity, thanks @Miren Lopez xoxo
New here...
Hi there, I'm new here. I found this group while searching about LLCs in another group that I'm in with @Gazit Chaya - Z Nkosi they - them. At first I just wanted to ask Z a question about LLC setup. Then, after watching the first video promo/intro for this group, I decided to join. What a great intention. 😍 kp
Thankful
Today reminded me how much nervous system work matters. My sister showed up. My heart raced. But I didn’t abandon myself. I took a breath. I stayed present. I didn’t try to fix. I didn’t try to prove. I offered what I could from a grounded place—and let the rest be. This is what nervous system work looks like for me today. Simple, quiet, and powerful.
Four leaf 🍀
I just had a strong urge to find a four-leaf clover as I was standing on the side of the road waiting for my kiddo at the bus stop, and after a few minutes of looking, sure enough I found it, I swear I could hear it calling to me!

That vagus nerve is no joke!
As if to prove a point, my vagus nerve took me down today! I have a history of falling down stairs related to my vision impairment and brain injury clumsiness, so I'm usually very intentional, but tonight as I was rushing to get my kid out the door to lacrosse, I went upstairs to grab some books to occupy myself with during the practice and came running down the stairs in socks with 4 books and woosh, I bump crash slammed into each step whamming my forearm and butt and when I got to the bottom I was in so much blasting pain that I got woozy and passed right out. Chat gpt ran me through how the vagus nerve can just shut things down when the pain is too intense. Voila, I'm always trying to tell people how you can't control that thing, but it sure can control you! I'm sore and very tired but a-ok otherwise. It was a great reminder to take my time, I don't have the body that can handle rushing. And my kid made me dinner for the first time, a gorgeous hummus plate, so that was a real treat!
