How to Compete with Nightlife Culture as a Conservative Man?
Hey gents — looking for some strategic perspective here.
I’m 37, pretty conservative, and try to keep myself well put together. I’ve never drank, smoked, or partied. I was raised in the church (which, honestly, I feel misled me about relationships), and now that I’m back in the dating game, I’m noticing a major disconnect.
A lot of the women I match with still have nightlife and party culture front and center — concerts, drinking, clubbing, festivals, etc. That’s just not me. I’d rather host game nights with close friends, spend an evening at the theatre, or wander a theme park.
It’s starting to feel like I can’t connect with them on a deeper level. My last serious relationship (met her on Bumble) ended because she was a heavy drinker and told me straight up that my lifestyle just didn’t match hers.
How should I handle this? Should I even keep trying with women like this, or is there a better way to frame myself — or even replace the kind of energy they're seeking with something better?
Open to any insights, strategies, or real-world examples from your lives.
Appreciate the brotherhood.
