Focus & Flow Co‑Working Hour is happening in 8 days
Life update
Hey Community family — I owe you an explanation and an update. 💛 First, I want to apologize for my absence. Those of you who have been here a while know I don't disappear without reason. Life handed me a significant one. My 14-year-old daughter has been critically ill and in and out of the hospital for the past month with a severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis. It has been one of the hardest seasons of my life, and my focus has had to be entirely on her. We are heading home today, but we are far from done — this is going to be a long road to recovery. I'm sharing this not for sympathy, but because you deserve to know why I've been quiet and what to expect going forward. Here's where things stand: I am going to start showing up here again. I've missed it, and honestly, creating and teaching is part of what keeps me grounded. What I cannot promise right now is a consistent posting schedule. Serenity's health has to come first, and some days that will mean I'm here and some days it won't. I'd rather be honest with you about that than overpromise and disappear again. What I'd love for you to do while I'm getting back on my feet: The Prompt Lab has 15 modules of solid foundational content just waiting for you. If you're new, start at Module 1 and work through it. If you've been here a while, go back and revisit something. There's always something that hits differently the second time around. Ask questions in the community. Engage with each other. Share what you're working on. You don't need me posting every day for this space to be valuable — the resources are here, and so are you. I built this community because I genuinely believe in what we're doing here. That hasn't changed. I'm just navigating life at the moment, one day at a time. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for being here. I'll see you soon. 💛 — Mel

I've been using Claude Pro for 2 weeks now...
The Pro plan has made my life so much easier. The consistency I receive from this tool, the adherence to my brand guides and voice, the ability to take the workflow we just completed and turn it into a skill so I can repeat that task later just by calling on it. My favorite tool: Cowork. This alone is worth the $20/mo fee in my opinion. I run the Claude desktop app, I go into my projects and I execute. Well, Claude executes, but I approve the workflows and help refine the visions. The files are dropped back into the designated folders on my computer once complete. Need to make a revision? No problem. The file is updated. ChatGPT has been used once in the last week. Gemini gets used daily for my W2, but for my business I'm finding myself going there natively less and less often. Perplexity still comes in clutch for research to feed in for projects, however that is what Perplexity is built to do. It's the Chrome killer. It truly is.

Three Entrepreneurs
Quick observation from this week: I’ve talked with several entrepreneurs lately and noticed we tend to fall into three different struggles when running a business. 🔧 The Maker who struggles to talk about their work ⏱ The Operator who never has time to market 💡 The Builder with more ideas than hours I unpack these a bit in the video below. And yes… I fully admit I’m the Builder. My idea list has categories. 😂 Which one feels most like you right now? Vote with an emoji: 🔧 Maker ⏱ Operator 💡 Builder
From Internal Draft to Global Rollout: The Power of Practical Prompting
This past week has been a whirlwind. I’ve been deep in the trenches building an AI troubleshooting training for the Product Support Engineers at my day job. Yesterday was the big moment: I presented the first full draft to senior management. I’ve been with this company for over 5 years, but this was my first time truly solo in the spotlight. I’ll be honest—my nerves were amped. I was sure I’d blow it. The Result? I nailed it. It wasn’t "perfect," but it was effective. Now, I’m spending the weekend refining the edits to present to our VP of AI next week for a global company-wide rollout. The Lesson: Don’t wait for "perfect" to hit "submit." The draft is where the magic starts. Use this weekend to level up whatever you’re working on—you never know who is watching!
