MP101 - Mastering
So I've completed that section and I will say it certainly triggered my brain to make better use of my ears. The analyser really does help, though.
I understand the purpose of saturation but I feel like the recommended saturation plugin – DriveMod – needs a tutorial to itself 😅 and I can't (yet) find a decent one on YouTube or Plugin Boutique.
Wasn't sure if I'm allowed to post my assignment (the audio), so I've attached screenshots of what it looks like after mastering, plus the stats. I also notice that the reference track was about 4.5RMS louder than the level we've been asked to set for the final mix.
All in all, a great experience. On now to the Mixing section of the course.
