Can I ask you something that might feel a little vulnerable to answer?
Have you ever felt lonelier inside your marriage than you did when you were single?
Not just a rough patch. Not just a busy week. I mean that deep, hollow kind of quiet — where you’re sharing a bed, a home, a life with someone — and still feel completely unseen or unheard.
I think this is one of the most common experiences in Christian marriage that almost nobody talks about. Because it feels like it shouldn’t be happening. Like you’re doing something wrong. Like maybe your faith isn't strong enough. A sense of "not being [fill in the blank] enough" lingers.
But here’s what I want you to hear: God named loneliness first. Before sin. Before anything broke. He said it in Genesis 2:18 — “It is not good for man to be alone.” He took your longing seriously then. He takes it seriously now.
So I want to create space for you to be honest here.
Where are you at right now — surviving, or growing?
And is loneliness part of your story in this season?
