I have been chasing this issue for awhile now & admittedly electronics & wiring are not my strong suit by a long shot. It’s had this issue since first fire up which was done on 91 ethanol free fuel. The O2’s showed the issue & it had lean spike problems. As soon as I added e85 visible fumes/vapor were coming from the catch cans, I feel it was pretty excessive, not terrible but not right. I was able to drive the car & it wasn’t doing anything scary, while driving and under load all the sensors were reading happy, car was mostly happy, still noticeable vapor/smoke coming from the catch cans but only slightly embarrassing. Still not right so I’m obviously trying to get it there before leaning on it. Put some offset in that cylinder and now it is a smoke show from the driver side catch cans AND the exhaust. The passenger side catch can stopped smoking. I unplugged the #3 injector & coil & ran it for awhile, minimal smoke/vapor/fumes & eventually none. I have swapped through 4 spare smart coils, all the coil wiring etc & feel spark has been eliminated. The Bosch 210’s are brand new, they have been cleaned 3 times and flowed twice since being new, I’m pretty confident spark isn’t the problem, the physical injector itself is not the problem. This is a bad injector plug, bad spot in an injector wire somewhere, cross talk to other injector wiring, or something I haven’t even considered. If there’s anyone savvy enough to point me in a direction or offer some troubleshooting advice/instruction I would truly truly appreciate it. Thank you much in advance! I will attach a few videos of it running with cylinder 3 working & one after I unplugged the injector and coil.
