🗣️Throwback PIRFsday Class №19 💬 April 16th
Hello everyone! 🙌 How about we dig into this assignment in our next Throwback PIRFsday? That VIDEO as well as the assignment from November 2024 So, April 16th — our weekly class: Throwback PIRFsday, every Thursday ⏰ 👉 Calendar Link 👉 The Classroom Page Here’s what we’ll do: Go through one of the “old” PIRF assignments and… Do VF (Vowel Foul) 😜 Read the whole assignment 📝 Practice Pronunciation, Intonation, Rhythm and Flow 🗣️ My assistant Super Mariel @Mariel Liang will, as always, be watching out for me and lending a hand. 🤝 PRACTICING TOGETHER, IMPROVING BIG TIME! 💪 "PIRF 417—This is a funny (?) story about a guy just talking about his day. I really want to hear “his personality” in this story. Ladies, imagine your husband…not married? Imagine your dad! Concentrate on linking, okay? Practice the assignment at least 3X a day. " Your English coach, Coach @Shane Peterson

“Phrasal verb” fun 🎉 “shut out"🚪🙉
Hey everyone! It’s Friday… and by the end of the week our brains are usually full of noise, stress, messages, meetings, and a million thoughts. Sometimes we just want to shut everything out and enjoy a little peace before the weekend begins. 😌 So today’s phrasal verb is "SHUT OUT". It's really useful one that can talk about both people and emotions. Let’s jump in! 🎉 Don’t forget to share your examples in the comments below 👇 🚪 1. to exclude someone Meaning: 👉keep someone out / not allow someone to be involved Examples: - They shut him out of the conversation. - I felt completely shut out of the decision. 🙉 2. to block something emotionally Meaning: 👉ignore something / refuse to think about it Examples: - She tried to shut out the noise and focus. - He shut out the negative comments. ❓ Your turn! 💬 When was the last time you shut something out to relax or focus? https://www.skool.com/lme/classroom/c7105c70?md=f7344607995d4e60b7d2459faa755a95
