Dad Joke explanation
The Joke: What do you call a Frenchman wearing sandals? Philippe Flop. Here is the simple breakdown: 1. The Name Philippe is a very common and traditional French first name. 2. The Shoes In English, the rubber sandals often worn at the beach are called flip-flops. 3. The Punchline When you combine the French name Philippe with the sound of the sandal, you get "Philippe Flop." When spoken aloud, it sounds close to flip-flop
Dad Joke explanation
From recitation to understanding
There is only one month to attend the text. TBH, I felt tired. I remembered too much knowledge in a month. It includes vocabulary, terminology. With the AI prompts suggested by Coach Shane, my study time was greatly reduced. But it is a short memory. How to tranform short memory to long memory? I have no idea. As Coach Shane said"you need to use it". So I began to attend classes as many as I can. USE!!! As the time goes by, I find something interesting gradually~ When I attended No Tangential, Only Essential curriculum, I learned how to ACTIVATE knowlege in your mind. How to establish a word NETWORK. How to use one word to make some sentences with diverse situations. When I participated in LME Page Pals course, everybody get together read a part of a book, use simple words or phrases to explain the word.We share our thoughts and our opinions. In my opinion, this course is much more like a rest stop or a tourist resort. When I joined in Word for a minute program, the word random generator generates a word. At the beginning, I search the word to figure out . But soon I realized that I didn't need to do it this way. Participants express the word one by one, it like a game. As we guess, we get closer to the answer. We can make a sentence or say a story. So interesting! In AMA class and Throwback PIRFs day class, coaches taught us how to READ , how to PRONOUNCE correctly . They use brief method and vivid BODY LANGEAGE to help us understand better. The alarm has rang. It's time to turn off my computer and review the exam paper. OH NO!!! But when I looked at the test paper, the question was to briefly describe the two roles of reading aloud in English teaching. What appeared in my mind was not the text content I remembered, but the scene of the coaches teaching in the class. The content of the scene fits the answer perfectly. The answer is Improve students' oral expression skills: Reading aloud can train students' vocal organs and help them practice correct speech and intonation. Improve pronunciation accuracy and build confidence to speak English.
