📚 My DDM Vocabulary Journey — When You Start Seeing It Everywhere
Today something happened that made me appreciate DDM even more. I was watching The Lincoln Lawyer, a series I've watched before, and WITHIN THREE MINUTES, I came across three things we'd learned in DDM. I had seen this series before, but I had never paid attention to these expressions. - Lure — DDM 1043: Trick someone into entering or doing something. - Deductible — DDM 1053: The amount you must pay before insurance starts paying. - For one — DDM 1056: Used to give one example of a person or thing. What really surprised me was that all three appeared within about three minutes. I've watched this series before, but I didn't notice these words and expressions because I hadn't learned them yet. Now that I've learned them in DDM, my brain seems to go: “WAIT! I KNOW THAT ONE!” 💡 And honestly, this happens to me a lot now. This is one of the things I love most about DDM. We're not just learning vocabulary from a lesson and then forgetting it. We start recognizing it in the wild—in TV shows, movies, podcasts, YouTube videos, and everyday English. Every time this happens, it motivates me to keep going because I can actually see that what I'm learning is becoming part of my understanding of real English. ❤️ Have you ever had that “Wait, we learned this in DDM!” moment? 😄 💡 I first learned “for one” from Coach Shane's podcast, but I had never actually used it myself. Here's the video where Coach Shane explains it👇
