In a twill ( sergรฉ) weave, the weft thread goes under one warp thread, and then over two or more warp threads. This shift in each row creates the diagonal pattern.
To get to the point, if you buy a fabric or a piece of clothing with these diagonal lines in an English-speaking country, you will always see the word twill on the label! now you know why I called you with the perfect nickname for you " Serge Denim "
But Blue Jean's comes from the city of Genoa in Italy where they made the pretty indigo blue for these trousers that have traveled the world.
