No matter where I am, there is always something to replenish my energy. I was not a good cook before I went to Australia and New Zealand. But however, life taught me and forced me to cook. During the COVID-19 pandemic period, there were no open takeaway shops or restaurants. I have to cook by myself in a shared dormitory with 50 people. Learned to cook steak over there and happy to burn the whole house while the fire alarm went up. I moved from New Zealand back to Australia during the pandemic. It was a very different time to do so. You could see from the figures below. I cooked steak at a motel and a shared house in Adelaide. At last, a few figures you can find the answer why I cooked so many steaks. I will not drive up to 2000 KM elevation and record the Alpine wind sound at six o’clock in the morning if I do not have the steak. Or I will not finish the Honours research project. Three pens have already gone. No steak means no international student. No coffee means no diesel for the little manual truck.
