Fungus gnats!!
Oh, guys, I am drowning in lots of fungus gnats! I know something has been mentioned to keep them away, but keep in mind I am located in Norway, and either difficult to come by, or VERY expensive!🫠
***GIVEAWAY!!!***
Who wants more worms.......or should I say cocoons? The following pic is 1 handful of bedding from a random spot along the edge of my giant worm bin, Big Ben. Its got quite a few cocoons in it but not as many as some of the previous posts I've made about the hot spots. Everyone who wants to participate gets 1 guess at how many cocoons are in the pic. The winner will get 1 handful of the bedding from a prime spot I've found the most cocoons previously. Shipping will be paid in full, the winner only has to give me their address. Saturday evening I will announce the winner so take your time and look over the pic closely. Some cocoons are small, big, yellow, brown and all sorts of shapes from round balls to tear drops. Good luck and enjoy!!! 😁🪱💩😁 PS: If you dont live within the US and win we will figure out something else we can do.

Youtube Channels
Hey everyone! It was so nice talking with you all during the live today. I had such a great time chatting with people who enjoy talking about worms as much as I do! I wanted to pass along two of my favorite ( besides Cherene's of course) YouTube channels. The first is all about soil health, which ties directly into healthy worm castings and creating thriving gardens. I've learned so much from him. The second dives into Bokashi, composting, soil biology, and all kinds of fascinating topics. He's incredibly knowledgeable. Honestly, both of these guys are. They really geek out over this stuff, and I absolutely love learning from them. www.youtube.com/@notillgrowers www.youtube.com/@GrowingwiththeGriffins
Question time about casting sifting
I want to sift these castings but find them to be too wet and refuse to sift nicely. My question is how dry can I make the castings before I start to kill off the microbes
