Greetings!
Hello! I'm Carrie. I'm a psych NP & work for the VA in Albuquerque, NM. I am in that special spot between my kids being mostly launched and my parents not quite needing me - or more accurately - they aren't needing me at present - so I've made the decision to do this for myself. I want and need to live more in the present, more intentionally, and am not quite sure how to make space for it in my life and how to make the practice stick. I have done some meditation classes / weekends before and LOVED them and could see the benefit, but once I got back to "real life", I wasn't able to maintain it. I had just made the decision that I needed to make a change and new habits, So I'm very excited to be here with you, and am very grateful to have found Aaron via a mutual friend in a random fashion just a few days before the class was to begin. Just falling effortlessly into place as it was supposed to happen.

Welcome to Your Course
I am using this platform to hold the course as an effort to move away from Facebook and to have a cohesive space that holds everything you and I need for a successful program. I think this will do the trick (but I am counting on your feedback to determine that). All the course info you will need is here: dates, links, videos of weekly calls, etc. Hopefully, it's intuitive enough to be useful and we will review it all in the first session. If you are open to it, take a moment to introduce yourself here to get things started. Maybe share where you live, your occupation, and what you want to accomplish in this course. Have fun with it and share a picture of something you are grateful for.
Hello, I’m Kenny Dresner, retired trial attorney. Practiced most of that time in Colorado Springs.
Retired in 2000 and lived on Kauai for 12 years and now Mesa AZ. Assisted with Landmark since 1989, initially in Denver and then Phoenix. I have a 40 year old daughter and soon to be 18 year old grandson living in Honolulu. Sure wished they lived closer. Haven’t discovered just what my purpose is at this stage of my 82 year old life. Joined the course based on Aaron’s commitment to assist in aiding others in experiencing life at its fullest. So sorry I missed the first session. I blame it on my limited technical expertise and will commit to viewing the video. Looking forward to connecting with you all. Kenny Dresner 808-651-6980 [email protected]
Question about mindfulness
So this kind of feels like a smart ass question but it kept coming up for me when I read that definition of mindfulness. When I am watching TV or especially when I am playing a video game is that mindfulness? In both cases I feel like I am very much present and focused on the moment. It feels silly to think of those activities as mindfulness, but is that just me judging myself?
