New month, new goals
New things to look forward to being a new month. At the end of the month we are taking a family vacation to Maui to visit family. With that in mind I just have a few things or goals to work on. 1- get my daily walks in 2- try to do yoga/stretch when I can 3- do a core 5er when I can 4- maybe try to do a 10 minute BodI workout when I can 5- continue my weekly therapy sessions. I’m sure there is something I am missing but this is a good place to start.
Friday / Saturday
Definitely thought I checked in yesterday but didn’t 😔 Morning was a great spin class, a picnic at work (I got to eat there which is exciting cause I was going to skip it and bring my own food but found a way to make it fit my plan!!!) We went to a block party after work as a family and ended the day with plenty of movement and lots of meaningful memories!!! This morning I ate breakfast in silence which was priceless and lovely — I didn’t have to shop for groceries since I went yesterday afternoon since we got out of work early! We spent the afternoon with @Kristen Burns and family at a local brewery and it was lovely & got a few steps in as we walked through the mall. Despite all the activities I have been able to stick with my eating plan which feels super great and empowering! Home and relaxing, unfortunately in the cold weather — my one complaint about this weekend is that it’s rainy and cold and feels like early spring rather than the unofficial start to summer. We’re trying to make the most of it!

A pep talk for those who need it!
I don’t feel lean today. 28 days of work behind me. I am fighting the spiral! I am choosing to trust the process and I am still following the plan today and the next 11 after that — Because that is what we do when we commit. We don’t give up just because we don’t see or feel progress every single day. We don’t give up just because it feels hard. We don’t let a little bump in the road stop us from getting to the finish line! Take that mindset with you through this week and I promise you will have no other option than to achieve what you’re trying to, my friend. Rooting for you! Xo, Amanda

Hey guys! Quick weekend check in cause it’s been a crazy one here. Spin yesterday was great. I have no idea where I landed on steps because I had a busy work morning then spent the afternoon running last min Mother’s Day errands and trying to get my house ready for people to come over. I have Wesley alone this weekend since Glenn works. This morning we are going to the zoo in Philly with my sister and stopping at my gram’s on the ride home — so o believe I’ll hopefully hit my steps or at least get a solid number for my rest day. I’ll try and check in tomorrow, but same deal - I’m single momming and this is tough. 🤭 Just wanted to show signs of life and celebrate 3 weeks down of my challenge and 3 to go. My abs are starting to show a TINY bit more this morning!!

Starting therapy - mental health awareness month
Not sure if this goes here or in the mind and body. Guess it could work for either. With this month being mental health awareness month, I finally sat down this weekend, signed up for therapy and found a therapist. My first meeting with her is next week. Im nervous but I know this is something that will be good for me and good for my family in the long term.
