Challenge starts… yesterday??
Happy Sunday everyone! My 6 week “challenge” — just dialing in for my beach trip in 40 days starts today, but I have been getting in the right mindset for a few days now!! Yesterday was the first Saturday in MONTHS that I’ve ended in a calorie deficit and I didn’t even do a “real” workout (but lots of fucking steps lol). I made a ton of intentional decisions like taking my food and snacks out with us for activities, not buying or picking at food that the boys got, and making dinner at home based on the room left in my plan knowing I really wanted to land in a deficit for the day. Today my goal is 3 indoor walks around 10 mins each because it’s raining and I don’t think we will get out. Wesley has swim lessons and I have plenty of housework to do as well - laundry, changing the sheets, general organizing. Curious how you’re all doing!

Looking for 1-2 close accountability partners!!!
My beach trip at the end of May is now 44 days away! ☀️😁 I definitely feel pretty good in my skin but I won’t lie that I’d like to just dial things in with my nutrition over the next few weeks as we head into that vacation which starts May 29. I readjusted my own macros and calories, My workouts are staying the same, I’m adding a daily walk (aiming now for 9,000-10,000 steps even on non-work days which is going to be A LOT for me but this extra movement will help me get into a slight calorie deficit that hopefully feels doable). I’m not cutting anything out but I DO have to be more dialed in and intentional — for me that means less processed options, more whole and nutrient dense foods, not as much candy, and just being aware on the weekends of my choices in the moment and keep my goals in mind (this is where an accountability partner or two will really help me). *im going on an anniversary trip with Glenn in 2 weekends so don’t worry you don’t have to “be perfect” I definitely am just going to do my best with what I have — knowing my mindset and intentions will still get me better results than having no goal or direction! I’m looking to run this personal challenge officially starting on Sunday so I have time to plan and prep with different calories/macros. For my partners I’ll also work with you to come up with macro splits and calorie targets as part of this! I’m planning to offer a paid option but some practice would be great. **This would be at no charge but I would like you to really give this your best effort - let’s work to get results together! You in?? Contact me directly by this Friday 4/17 so we can do your calculations and make a plan to start Sunday 4/19 with me!

April Goals and Fitness Plan
Since getting my test lipid results back and seeing the improvement, I've been motivated to see what other tweaks I can make to continue the downward trend of my LDL. One option was to add more soluble fiber, so I've been adding flax seed to my oatmeal in the morning and taking Metamucil with my dinner. It's a small change, but once it becomes routine, it could help me reach my target faster! I restest again in June, so stay tuned for an update! As far as selling the Charlotte house goes, we'll need at least one more trip before we can explore putting it on the market. I wanted to get it listed before the end of the month, so I might need to reprioritize my weekend activities this month to accommodate that. The good news is most of them are with my mom and now that I live just over an hour from her (instead of 3.5), it's much easier to make those adjustments. 💗 Selling the house will meet the revenue generation goal, but I'd like to explore more side job opportunities after this summer. Once we get settled and Peter gets a new job, we'll be in a much better place to do that. Workout-wise: This month is a perfect example of why I write my training plan in pencil. Tomorrow, I have to leave the house at 7am, so I'll probably swap my Tuesday and Wednesday workouts.

Fitness Plan - April + May
It’s ready! I got my goals in mind, the plan laid out! Focus is clear and all that’s left is to follow through! All workouts are less than 45 mins except for some of the spin classes. No need for anything longer. Goals: lift 3x week, spin 1-2, mobility 1x week, one full rest day at least. Optional track Pilates when it fits the bill (I’ll decide the day of!). And increasing steps to at least 8000 5x a week now that it’s warmer!

Back day....
Main exercise on back day is deadlift. I normally use the hex bar for deadlift but have have told my PT the goals I want to achieve by the end of the year, and so she gives me the straight bar 🤦🏼‍♀️ So every week she increases the weights and decreased the reps, but this week is a deload week so it's okish weights and low reps 🙏🏼 She wants me to video my lifts so she can check my technique and correct anything....so I am waiting on her thoughts about my 'slapped arsed resting bitch' face as someone walks across my camera 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 Anyway, this weights is 87.5kg just from different angles and seemed ok 🤦🏼‍♀️
