End of check in
It’s been a pretty good day here. Little guy slept decently (don’t want to say too much and jinx it). I got in a nice walk this morning with him. Didn’t do to bad with food(though it is still a little early so I might have some chocolate). I was able to get two loads of laundry done. Also another thing I started doing with my little guy is after dinner and while my hubby gets the bath ready we clean/pick up all his toys that is laid out everywhere from him playing all day. It feels good to get him in the habit of it and it makes my evening easier after he is down for bed that I don’t have to spend time cleaning and picking up everything. I can just sit on the couch with my hubby.

SO CLOSE!! I’ll take it. Honestly I probably will still break 7,000 before I really get in bed cause Wesley is still up. I also did day 2 of staying within (not going over) my targets for food. Feeling good about keeping these promises to myself. Anyone else feel like they’d benefit from checking in here in the evenings to celebrate those wins? I encourage you to use this space to your benefit!

High Protein Ingredients
What are some of the items on this (attached) list you have and can plan to use in your next meal plan to make it high protein? Looking at the list @Amanda Steele posted, we have a lot of items that help create our next high protein meal. I mentioned yesterday the 3 Farm Daughters pasta which is higher in protein. I drink a pre-mixed protein drink every morning (I really enjoy Slate Ultra which has 30 g of protein). In our pantry we always have broth, pasta sauce, pesto, various oils and vinegars, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and tons of seasonings. Garlic herb tuna packets are a must have for us! We make rice quite a bit, which is made easy with our rice cooker. Cottage cheese, Greek Yogurt, and Babybel lite cheeses are items I buy almost weekly. I mentioned yesterday our abundance of freezers but these are well stocked with meat, vegetables, and breakfast foods. We really have a lot of items that I’m trying to take stock of to use instead of buying everything every week at the store.
New week!
Happy Monday! Off work today, so I knew I’d be able to get a workout in this morning. Riley slept really good, woke up around 2:30/3ish. She ended up falling asleep before 3:30, so I laid back down in bed until 4, and got up and worked out. My body just needed that extra 20lbs mins to reset. Did a workout yesterday too! It’s feeling so good to get back into working out and seeing what my body can do. Still a long way to go, but it’s a start. Next week I have my follow up appt with my weight management Dr. I’m nervous for him to see the number on the scale, but I also know he will recognize that I went through an entire pregnancy and trying to get back on track. It’s been almost a year since I’ve seen him, so it’ll be good to follow up. Yesterday, we went to my cousins little boys birthday party. David had a blast! The boys are only a little over a year apart, and our daughters are about 3 months apart. The girls finally got to meet each other, although they have no idea what was going on! Haha
New week!
Checking in
Evening accountability — I did it! I didn’t have a “perfect” day by any means, but I wound up keeping some of my most important promises and I’m happy about that!
