I love these things the kids are doing at school for breaks. Brain Breaks- (search on you tube) just a little movement snack that they can get up and break up all the sitting that they do. What do you do for your brain break?

Movement Snacks
I spent today working on stuff I don't want to work on. Lots of time spent doing things that just do not seem very important at all. I konw we all find ourselves here, it is one of the things that comes with adulthood that we just can not avoid. However, I did find a few movement snack opportunities. One - Stretch, move, flowing through a few basic movements that everyone should do as they get older. Getting up off of the ground controlled is a major part of my routine. Since I want to be able to do this when I am 80, I make time to get down and get up at least a few times a day. Two - Walk. Most of the time it is just a walk to practice. I spend some time getting some fresh air and walk the dogs as well. That's it! I can do more, I want to do more. My schedule is wider open than I want it to be lately. However, I have some other pressing things that need more attention right now. Still, doing a few things that I want to be able to do when I am old is important. What is something that you want to be able to do when you are old? I will post a YouTube video of a Longevity expert later if this post gets any attention. Have a blessed night!

Movement Snacks
QOTD
I have heard from multiple sources that whatever quality that you desire for yourself as a person that God gives you opportunities to demonstrate that quality. If I ask for peace; I am given trials that allow me to bring a calm and peaceful presence to the table. I ask for patience; I am given hectic, frantic, or even put in standstill traffic when I need to get somewhere fast. I ask for willpower and persistence; my situation can feel hopeless, unchanging, and daunting and I am provided with an opportunity to demonstrate these qualities. Today, I am grateful for the support of my family. I am grateful to live in a time that my reach is not limited to how long my arm is. I am grateful to be able to share, in my way, in my time and all of the potential for that to help others. Today, I am reminded that it is ok for me to double down on the things that I am good at, even if I need to be open to other avenues and continue to expand my capabilities. Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. I have been working through some functional movement patterns and putting them together. Playing with movement. I have been doing this so much that when we were at a Christmas party, last night, my son was breakdancing. But it was really just bearcrawl, crab walks, knee slides, and cartwheels. So fun to see the stuff that I do in the practices (that I thought he was just sitting on the side watching shows and eating snacks) is what he goes to when he starts vibing to the music.
