It Started With Marriage
On April 1st, 2001, the Netherlands became the first nation in human history to legalize same-sex marriage. Years later, in 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court likewise declared marriage a fundamental right protected by the Constitution. President Barack Obama, in a speech at the Rose Garden, declared "love is love" as he celebrated the ruling as "a victory for America." And most Americans seem to agree. A gallop poll suggests that approximately 88% of democrats and nearly 50% of Republicans support gay marriage. So it seems the debate is over. But should it be? In 2007, an Assumptionist priest by the name of Barry Bercier wrote in his book, Skies of Babylon, that if traditional marriage were re-defined to include same sex couples, "the result would be nothing less than the end of the world of man." Sound dramatic? Well -- what is marriage? If marriage were merely a proclamation of love, and if the fundamental purpose of marriage were to reward people who love each other, then gay marriage should be legal. But society does not give certain legal rights, financial benefits and tax breaks to people simply because they fall in love. At least, until two decades ago, that's not how it worked. Barry Bercier defines marriage as "the public and legal recognition of the pre-political duality of the sexes and the significance of the duality for human beings and the social and political order." In other words, marriage -- traditional marriage as it existed across every civilization for nearly all of human history, is the recognition of a unique relationship that pre-exists law and human constructs. That is, the institution of marriage - from Mesopotamia, to Egypt, China, Rome and every Western nation until 2001 -- recognized the duality of the sexes through law because the duality is the nucleus from which life emerges. The relationship between male and female -- man and woman -- whether you are gay, straight, black, white, bisexual, asexual, rich or poor, is our beginning; our source. For every human being, the duality of the sexes is our 'sine qua non' -- without it, life would not exist.
Nuclear Only?
It seems clear to me from what Trump and JD Vance have said that the reason negotiations failed was the nuclear enrichment factor. Iran has agreed to 5 years while the U.S wants 20 years of non-enrichment. Basically, Trump wants a JCPOA 2.0 with his own stamp on it. It seems to me like a deal can be made soon. Maybe for 10 years. Now I might not be politically well-informed, so maybe someone here can enlighten me on how that's gonna lead to regime change.
Comment on Armin doing YouTube
Ladies and gentleman I felt at this time I needed to get something off my chest that has weighed on me for a few days now. Armin seems to be a good young man with good intentions BUT his conduct on YouTube is not very good for Goldie’s stream I mean no offense but he acts like a child always insulting others which for a man of faith which he claims to be is not a good thing to be. He really needs to clam down yes we all have right to our opinions and ideas I think sometimes he gets carried away. Maybe someone who knows him really well can have a 1-1 conversation talking about his conduct doing YouTube. I understand he hates seeing what is going on in Israel and Iran however YouTube should never be an open forum to be used in such a manner he needs to do some growing up. I can only pray that someday he will look back and realize that he means well but gets too carried away. Thank you God bless everyone on this website.
Should we bomb Syria yes or no
Well it seems we have another trouble making country in the Middle East who needs to be taught a severe lesson and that is Syria. For years and years they have been a major sponsor of terrorism so to me this is not a positive thing going on. Also I belong to a chat group of middle eastern person most are good people but in the Syrian chat they are always putting down not only Americans but other nations as well most of them are European. As a catholic it’s hard for me to make such comments but when the proof is clear and there government is so crooked and veil this seems to be the only real logical choice left is the bomb Syria and teach them to play nice thank you.
