Why do we keep getting pushed to the side
The hardest and easiest question to ask any Jew in their right mind, anywhere around the world, is "what were you doing on October 7th 2023, 6:30 in the morning?"
The real question here is not "what was your life interrupted in the middle of?" - it's "how were you influenced? How were you changed?"
I, personally, felt this terrible, twisted, evil sense of triumph. See? I told you so! I told you, world! I was right! But it also threw me into depression, because even I wasn't so cynical as to genuinely believe my theories will become reality.
But the most important change that occurred in me was that I realized why we constantly get pushed to the side when we ask for justice. Because the world doesn't actually want justice - they want the version of justice they're comfortable with. They want to burn the witch in the town's square and not even think about whether she was ever a real witch or not. Meanwhile, the real witches walk free more often than not - just because they're 'respected members of the community' or something of the sort. Nothing has really changed since the Middle Ages, when you think about it - only the packaging.
P.S. this is my first time posting here so guys, cut me some slack please 😅
