Cold email won't be the same after November. 📩
Here are 5 shifts that will help you win going into 2025: 🚀
1. Sending generic emails to huge lead lists → Sending personal emails to a smaller list
  • As more inboxes become flooded, quality is becoming essential to stand out.
What’s working now?
  • Instead of spraying templated emails to massive lists...
  • Gather a small list of <10k similar leads, deeply understand their goals, and craft messaging specific to them.
For example:
If you're emailing a tech guru, words like "automation" & "scalability" might spark interest.
For a coach, it could be "growth" or "strategy" instead.
2. Asking for a call, meeting, or chat as a CTA → Asking to send over a 2-minute vid or lead magnet
  • A long, boring sales call is too much commitment from a single email.
What works better?
Create a valuable resource they can consume on their own time:
  • A 2-minute case study
  • A 5-page strategy guide
  • A plug & play template
The key: It HAS to be easy to consume.
If it takes over 15 minutes, you're asking for too much.
3. Using an unsubscribe link to remove leads → Including a P.S. line to stop emails
  • Unsubscribe links lower deliverability and make you look like spam.
  • Instead, include a short note at the end inviting opt-outs:
  • "Not enjoying this chat? Respond 'Vanish' and I'll be out of your hair."
  • Just make sure to use an original keyword (Google is watching). 👀
4. Ignoring all negative replies → Asking for feedback to improve over time
  • Most emailers throw away negative responses, but this costs them long-term.
  • Just because someone isn’t interested doesn’t mean they can’t help.
  • When someone says "No," ask what about the offer failed to connect.
  • You’ll gain valuable lessons on how to improve your message.
5. Using detailed subject lines → Using short & genuine subject lines
  • Giving away too much in your subject line removes the reason to open your email.
  • The second people know what your email is selling, they ignore it.
  • Instead: Write your subject line like you want a casual conversation.
  • Example: "Hi [First Name]" works because it makes the email feel genuine.
These shifts are the key to staying ahead in 2025.
