Post 6: ADHD Parenting Mini Series
Whether your child has a diagnosis or not…your assignment does not change.
It doesn’t matter if they
don’t listen
talk back
hit
scream
ignore you
or seem like they’re all over the place
You still have one job.
The Word says in Proverbs 22:6:
“Train up a child in the way they should go…”
It doesn’t say:
“Train them if it’s easy.”“Train them if they listen the first time.”“Train them only if they don’t have challenges.”
No.
It says:
TRAIN THEM.
That means:
You hold the line. You stay consistent. You don’t back down because it’s hard. You don’t give up because they’re different....
Because we don’t get to choose the assignment…
But we are responsible for how we show up in it.
ADHD is not an excuse to remove structure.
It is a reason to be more intentional with it.
So before we even talk strategies this week…
We have to settle this in our mind
“I am still called to train my child.”
🔥 Let’s get practical:
Tell me ONE thing you’re doing at home right now that isn’t working.
Just one.
And I’ll help you figure out why.
Give me a few hours to respond... it’s just me over here 😂
But I got you.
