What frustrates you most about marketing gurus?
There’s a lot of people out there who will claim they can help you market and sell your offers in exchange for your hard earned money, but in reality they have little or no experience in matter beyond a personal interest in the topic and you letting them hold your cash. On the other hand… There are the people who are really good at helping you market and sell your offers, but in the interest of scale, they over-price, over-productize to the point where only a few people in very specific situations will actually benefit from the offer. On the face it, that’s a good thing, but the problem is their sales people will sell to anyone with a credit card and pulse, and too many people end up paying way too much for a program that was never a good fit for them in the first place. And then there’s everything else in between. But I want to do the opposite of that here. So tell me, what frustrates you most about marketing and sales guru’s online?

I’m opening 5 spots for a FREE Lead Magnet Map Session
****** ALL SPOTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN, THIS OFFER IS CLOSED!****** In 60 minutes, we’ll map: - The number one lead magnet you should build first (based on your offer). - The best opt-in path for your audience: threads, ads, etc... - A quick “what happens next” plan so subscribers do not just sit there. This is a working session, not a sales call. If I think I can help with next steps, I'll let you know. But you can absolutely execute on your own. And there's no pressure either way. The only catch is I'm going to record it and I would like to use your candid feedback as a testimonial. Limiting to 5 spots, and opening it up here first (before I make it available to my email list). Reply “MAP” and I’ll send the booking link + pre-call questions.

TNM is now Email Sanctuary
Some news. After 5 months of building this space, I'm changing the name. The Nature of Marketing is becoming Email Sanctuary. Let me tell you what's changing, what isn't, and why I finally said “hell with it” and planted the flag. First, why the change? Every meaningful result I've produced for clients came through email. - Rahaf made $25k from a list of 383 subscribers. - Justin finally found his writing voice through newsletters. - Gary got rescued out of the spam folder and brought his global wellness company back to life. Organic content strategy is important, but the truth is, it doesn’t matter to me how you build your list, the strategy is the same. And that’s what I love about email. So here’s what Email Sanctuary is about: 1. Writing emails that sound like you. 2. Growing your email list. 3. Turning that list into paying customers and clients. All without losing your voice or leaning on B.S. marketing tactics to do it. The Coyote mascot stays, the Threads growth content stays, but moving forward the focus will be email, ads, and making offers that sell. Beyond that, the free tier will be going away in the near future. If you’re on it, you’ll stay on it free as long as you’re active in the community. And the premium tier price will increase soon as well. That’s it for today. Welcome to the sanctuary. Kevin Hood

What are your wins from last week?
Here's a few from me: - Finalizing my transition away from using a myriad of WordPress plugins to run my biz and over to using HighLevel for almost everything (except my blog will stay on WordPress). - Signed a contract with a Dream 100 client this past week. - Finalized an evergreen launch with a business partner in the coaching niche. - Learned a metric crap ton about how to optimize Meta Ads. - Celebrated getting caught up on my taxes by having an ultimate pickleball competition with my amazing girlfriend. What about you? What are you celebrating this week?
What are your wins from last week?
I am off grid until May 26th!
Esteemed Nature of Marketing members! I will be out of town, off grid, away, and otherwise unavailable for a whole week. Please have loads of fun while I’m gone. And I’ll see you when I get back.
