Anyone Using LinkTree for exposure?
Is anyone here using Linktree as a low-cost way to gain exposure for your books or your Skool community? For those who haven’t explored it, Linktree is a simple tool that lets you create one clean, central link that houses everything you do — your Amazon KDP books, YouTube channels, Skool classrooms, socials, websites, and more — all in one visually appealing page. If you’re juggling multiple projects like I am, it’s been a bit of a game changer. Instead of dropping five different links, you share one simple URL and readers can see your entire ecosystem in seconds. It creates a streamlined, professional user experience without needing a full website build. I’m currently using the free version and, honestly, for most authors and creators in this group, it seems more than sufficient. Would love to hear: - Are you using Linktree (or something similar)? - Has it helped with traffic or conversions? - Or are you sticking with a traditional website instead? Keen to hear real-world feedback before I double down on it. LinkTree https://linktr.ee/bradleyw.deacon

IMPORTANT: Amazon Listings Operate off An Algorithm
Think about your book listing the same way you think about posting a YouTube video or an Instagram Reel. Here's the legit truth ... IF... - The title doesn’t solve a clear problem or spark curiosity → no one clicks - The cover doesn’t stand out in a crowded feed → no one clicks - You don’t drive traffic to it → it quietly sits there šŸ‘‡ Publishing the book is just the upload. It’s not the strategy. Amazon Is Algorithm-Driven (Just Like Social Media) Your listing on Amazon responds to behavior: - People click the listing - They spend time on the page - They read the description - They add it to the cart šŸ’„ BOOM — those are positive signals. When you send external traffic (social media, email list, etc.) to your listing and people engage with it, Amazon sees that activity and rewards it with more visibility. More engagement → more impressions → more clicks. Why Reviews Matter (Especially at Launch) Reviews aren’t just social proof. šŸ’„ They increase: - Click-through rate - Trust - Engagement Which feeds the algorithm again. This is also why the launch window matters. Early momentum compounds. The Big Takeaway Just publishing a book is not enough. You have to: - Market it - Drive traffic - Generate engagement - Collect reviews That’s how books actually sell. I’m building out my Launch & Scale Playbook, where I break down these strategies and why they matter. These playbooks are my high-level brain dump of the full self-publishing process that’s helped me earn $100K+ in royalties doing this part-time. You can get access to Publishing Playbooks right now for $27 while I continue building and refining the content. šŸ‘‡UNLOCK THE PUBLISHING PLAYBOOKS NOW

Amazon Ads Costing You Too Much?
If your Amazon Ads spend feels out of control, the issue usually isn’t ads themselves—it’s not knowing your ACOS and your break-even point. Once you know this number, you can make smarter decisions instead of guessing. šŸ”¢ How to Calculate Your Break-Even ACOS Start with two numbers: - Book price - Royalty per sale Example: - Book price: $9.99 - Royalty: $4.00 Calculation: - 4 Ć· 9.99 = 0.40 - 0.40 Ɨ 100 = 40% āœ… Your break-even ACOS is 40% This means: - Below 40% → profitable - At 40% → break-even - Above 40% → losing money on that sale šŸŽÆ What To Do With This Number Once you know your break-even ACOS: - This is the number you should aim to stay under in each campaign - It becomes your decision-making filter for scaling or pausing ads āš–ļø Being Over Break-Even Isn’t Always Bad An ACOS above your break-even point isn’t automatically a failure. Higher ACOS can still make sense if: - Ads are increasing visibility - You’re seeing organic sales lift - The book leads to series, bundles, or audiobooks The key question to ask: Is my goal pure ad profitability, or am I okay investing in ads if total sales (ads + organic) are profitable? Intent matters. šŸ”§ How I Tighten My Ad Campaigns To avoid wasting money, I rely on campaign budget rules. My approach: - Set a low daily budget per campaign (typically $10–$15) - Create a rule that: This tells Amazon: - ā€œSell my book aggressively when I’m not losing moneyā€ - ā€œStop immediately when performance slipsā€ āœ… Final Takeaway If you’re running ads without knowing your: - Royalty - Break-even ACOS - Clear campaign goal You’re letting Amazon decide how much you spend. Control the numbers, and the ads start working for you instead of against you.
