One thing I wish more new authors understood is that finishing the manuscript is a HUGE milestone…but it’s not the finish line.
Before you hit Publish on Amazon KDP, you still need to think about:
→ Is the title clear and appealing to the right reader?
→ Does the cover fit what readers expect in your niche?
→ Are you using your 7 backend keyword boxes strategically?
→ Did you choose relevant categories?
→ Does your description actually make someone want to buy?
→ Is the interior formatted professionally?
→ Do you have any kind of plan for getting eyes on the book after it goes live?
This is actually why I’m such a big believer in planning your book BEFORE you spend months writing it.
You don't want to finish a book and then realize you never thought about how you were going to position or sell it.
