3 Book Formatting Tools
Formatting your book doesn't have to be expensive. One of the questions I get asked the most is, "What should I use to format my book?" In this video, I break down the only 3 formatting tools I recommend depending on the type of book you're publishing—whether it's a journal, planner, coloring book, nonfiction book, or novel. Hopefully, this helps you choose the right tool and saves you both time and money on your publishing journey. ➡️ Let me know in the comments: Which formatting software are you currently using?

@Krista Brea Wow!!! I read some amazing essays and books — specifically in English—when my daughter was a baby... which completely opened my eyes to how important those early years are for a human life, especially if you can share that time and truly enjoy it with your child! Thank you for this insight! I remember reading bedtime stories to her... and she didn't actually start reading on her own until much later. Now she is 19 years old and simply never stops reading! You are laying down such an important foundation.

so cool to remember this!
Community Story Building Time
Let’s build a story together 👀 I’ll start with one sentence…and each person adds the NEXT sentence in the comments. Build on to the story by creating the next sentence. If you see someone typing, wait for their sentence and then type yours out, building on theirs Let’s see where this goes 😂 Here's the first sentence: 👉 The year is 1996 and Joe is at work in his office in NYC when the fire alarm in the building starts to go off. Your turn 👇 (Only ONE sentence per comment—no overthinking it, just keep it going)

He couln't remember what he read... headed again to the fax machine... he wasn't sure if it was URGENT clue or glue!

So he bent down, looked under the desk, knelt down... crawled around it, and grew increasingly puzzled.

Why I Publish Books Instead of Relying on My Job Only
Today I spent another four hours commuting to and from my full-time job. I'm grateful for my career, but that commute reminded me why I'm so passionate about self-publishing. Companies change. Policies change. Life changes. The one thing I can control is building assets that I own. Every book I publish becomes something that has the potential to keep helping readers and generating income long after it's written. That's why I'm investing more of my time into publishing instead of relying on my career alone. I'm not trying to escape my job. I'm trying to create more options for my family's future. If you've been putting off writing your first book—or you've already published one but haven't fully committed to growing it—let this be your reminder that every book is another asset you're building for yourself. 👇What motivates you to publish? Is it extra income, sharing your knowledge, building your business, leaving a legacy, or something else? I'd love to hear your reason in the comments.

I publish for most of the named reasons. Increase income with royalties as assets, develop them, share what I know, create a legacy of which I am proud of. So there is more work to do. With your help and guidance my books are becoming bettter. Step by step.
