Something to play around with this week!
A quick 5 minute lesson for you here in the middle of the week! Using pedal notes or droning strings for inspiration! I still do, but I used to too. What's cool about this approach is that it keeps a tonal center automatically for you and allows you to play around it with almost no extra effort. All you've gotta do is pick a string and keep everything else that you play in that key. So check out the video and try this one out! Let's see if it gets some of those creative juices flowing! Feeling down
Do any of ya’ll ever get frustrated with your actual ability versus your perceived ability to play guitar and any other instrument for that matter? In other words feel discouraged when you play worse than you think you should be?

My Happy Place
I find, the world is a better place when I don't let the "Not enough" - mentality get to me. The I can't play good, because I don't know enough - I'm not enough because I can't play everywhere on the fret board... Or the idea that, there will never be enough guitar balogna on the Internet for you - someone who has a hard time taking the time for themselves - to actually learn... let's just step back for a moment... Thinking like that will put you on the fast track to quitting again. This time, just feel good about your noise making put the guitar back where you found it. Come back to it next time with some other fun noise to make... When you're ready - your guitar will be there for your purposefully driven efforts, and each time you picked it up you felt good about it! Learning or just playing. That's what we love about our guitar am I right?!
