@Eddie Gandolfi Way to self-identify a bit about your guitar journey. I can really appreciate that, it takes someone sincerely interested in developing themselves to take the time to reflect like that. And yes, I also started as a drummer. I think the guitar and the drums hold a lot of the same or similar, face value. Like, both instruments are easy to get started on but take time and effort to master... (I think it's snowboarding and skiing for this reference but) they say "Snow boarding is harder to start but easier to master and skiing is easier to start but harder to master"... I feel like something similar could be used for our guitar and drumming connection here... Anyways, the point is... When approaching the guitar, first of all remember that the way you're going to work best, is with your own mental map of the fretboard and your ability to hear melody. Secondly, you have an advantage with the rhythm section of the guitar, because you have the drums under your belt. Lastly, even with all the knowledge in the books, guitar will still need your muscle memory and require your persistence to perform optimally... That being said - Thanks for joining us! It sounds like you're headed the right direction with this one. We'll be looking forward to hearing about your breakthrough's!

@David Pyper I'd say this is a pretty ideal goal! I'm also working toward that goal. I wouldn't even say I'm proficient yet lol, but I am going to put my best foot forward here. 30 + years huh?! Glad to have you! Have you ever had in person lessons?

@David Pyper That's cool! I'm not much for in person lessons and I also have played for 20+ years. I feel like, it's good to feel confident digging in on your own. Although the only lessons I did take we're from my good friend @Benjamin Wood and they did me wonders, I'm convinced that all you need is one sincere Aha! Moment and you're addicted gor life lol 😂 Well, welcome and check back soon as we get this community some more to work with! And nice to E-meet you
