@Larry Cannon l'm impressed how steady you were! I also noticed your finger placement, you are really dialing in those positions... have you been working through this piece for a while or is it new for you? But I liked the sound of this one. Nice work my friend. How's the pups?!

@Larry Cannon I saw that. Yeah I'm looking forward to trying this out! Also yeah "mop in hand" isn't ideal, but I get it. Hopefully those two last pups find a nice safe, and deserving home.
I'll be back next week!
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been here as often as I'd like this week. We had a family emergency yesterday and my wife and I are just taking a little time to process and grieve. As a result, I haven't sat down to make any video's this week, but I will get back to the usual next week. Thank you for your understanding. In the meantime, I did have a quick 5 minute lesson done already and it is uploaded into the classroom section titled "5-Minute Lessons". Here's the link: https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/4000ef63?md=36323bec1b394b958d00620f791b1b1e It's all about using drone strings and single string lead lines for practice, or even to make your solo guitar sound a bit more full, like a self accompaniment. Give it a try yourself and I hope everyone has a great rest of their week. Thank you all again, I'll see you next week! -Ben

@Benjamin Wood hope you're hanging in there my friend. Playing some extra guitar, with your little family in mind. We'll catch you when you're back to it. Until then, just remember that you got your people to support you through and through. Much luv bruv.
Is This The End?
Or is it the beginning of something? Depending on when you're looking at this could be a determining factor... Like... If you're just learning the C.A.G.E.D. system - then yes. This is the end of it. D and E.... I could even call my understanding of it -DEGAC in my case, lol! Completely backwards. I've been so stuck on these "shapes" and the way they connect, that it's got me excited. I feel like every time I get the chance to sit with my guitar, it's the first thing I want to play. I just want to wander through this line a "billion" times. 😅 It doesn't really get me anywhere, but I am certain that it helps me understand where I am on the fret board better, every time. I get the root note of whichever key I'm in. I get to move across the fret board And I get to talk a lot lol 🤣 JK I get more comfortable with my instrument 🎸 I hope that this video can help you experience something similar. I hope that you share your excitement for learning with me here on this post. Glad to have you with us! Before you get started - find your tuner and tune up or head on over to Intermediateguitar.com/tools to tune your guitar and get to it! We'll catch you in the comments!

Now... I will say. I tried posting something similar all day. We are on the road, and things like this have not gone my way. I'm finally at a hotel for the night but dang! I was trying to get this out earlier lol. 😆 I'm commenting here to remember just how tough it was these past couple of weeks. I posted this video or a couple of others, 5 times today... 4 "failed to upload" at like 90% uploaded and it just took forever lol - I also went "LIVE" in this group twice. No one showed up (not a surprise 🫢) and it didn't save... (Surprise 😐😐😐) Not the good kind either... So the question - of a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it still make a sound? In my case, 😩😶‍🌫️🫪🤯 nope! No one got to see those posts. They didn't record or upload to this platform lol. Not sure the exact reason, other than it might have to do with being done on my cell phone? Anyways. That's enough b1tchn from me. This is a memory now. One for the books! Again! Have fun and I hope you dig in!

@Yvonne Casiano understood! 😮 Sorry to hear about your mother... I feel like this past week may have been tough on the entire world. I know it felt tough for us as well. ❤️‍🩹. When you finally find a moment to yourself, if you don't get to play right away, it's okay. That's why this group is here, like a book marker for your learning, at your own pace. I am excited for the feedback. But mostly I want others to find this practice useful. I didn't start with help like this, and I wish I would have. ( I never really looked into things before doing them lol ) Connecting the fretboard is playing guitar. Learning to see the fretboard with the mindseye is confidence, melody and not only fun but it's the whole jam! Thanks for being here, you can do it! New or not! I can also create a "tabs" if that's what this post needs. So let me know!

Solo Over Me
Take a moment to arpeggiate through these chords D, G, and A - find a good melody to play as lead, strum right along or just listen to the same chords and imagine your favorite song that begins with these chords, while looking at the background and wondering if a bird really nests in one of those, obviously placed bird houses... The answer is yes. There are birds... When you're ready to start... to play the guitar again, join the class and take action my friend 🙏🏽 your enjoyment depends on it!
