Hello Stroke Warriors and fellow Stroke Warrior musicians! I am truly grateful for your unwavering support on my journey of recovery. As I embark on Week 233 of my guitar stroke recovery, I am reminded of the power of dreams, faith, and perseverance. In this week's reflection, I delve into the importance of holding onto our dreams, believing in the promises of the heart, and working towards our goals with unwavering determination. Have you ever experienced a dream that felt so real, so vivid, that it sparked a fire within you? A dream that whispered to your soul, urging you to believe in its possibility? Dreams have a unique way of igniting our passion, guiding our steps, and shaping our reality. But how do we hold onto these dreams, especially in the face of challenges and setbacks? When we are presented with a dream, it is essential to grasp it firmly, plant it deep within our hearts, and believe in its fulfillment before we even speak of it. As the Bible teaches us, faith is the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance about what we do not see. Just like Mary treasured the promise of birthing the Savior in her heart, we too must nurture our dreams, allowing them to grow and flourish within us. This week, I found myself facing a new challenge in extending motifs for more extended scales on the guitar. Instead of getting discouraged by the complexity of the task, I embraced the process of learning and growing. By experimenting with dominant chords and utilizing diminished 7th arpeggio ideas, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone, building tension and depth in my musical journey. Although the road to mastery is far from perfect, each stumble and stumble serves as a stepping stone towards progress. As I navigate through the intricacies of music theory and technique, I am reminded of the importance of perseverance and patience. Every note played, every chord strummed, brings me one step closer to realizing my dream of guitar proficiency. As I continue to strum towards victory, I am filled with gratitude for the support and encouragement of my fellow Stroke Warriors and musicians. Together, we are not only Warriors in Recovery but also Champions in Life. Let us hold onto our dreams, believe in the promises of our hearts, and work tirelessly towards our goals, no matter the obstacles that stand in our way.
