I used to play with this sort of idea back when I was first coming to grips with the modes and other non standard scales. I still do, but I used to too.
What's cool about this approach is that it keeps a tonal center automatically for you and allows you to play around it with almost no extra effort. All you've gotta do is pick a string and keep everything else that you play in that key. So check out the video and try this one out! Let's see if it gets some of those creative juices flowing!
