TEDx Talk
Picture this. A box of printer paper. A kitchen stool on top of the box of printer paper. Me sitting on the kitchen stool on top of the box of printer paper with my Covid protection mask on until the signal comes that I am about to go live for my TEDx talk.
It was early December, 2020. My son had just gotten out of the hospital and we were quarantined in our 700 square foot apartment. (We wouldn't set foot outside again for another five weeks.) TEDx Hartford had moved the talk from a "safe distanced" ballroom to a studio with only speakers and staff. Because I was quarantined, I was live-streamed instead.
This is not my speaking energy, but it is my story. The through-line is people going through change. How that spark was ignited. How it showed up in my personal and professional lives, and key lessons I learned along the way.
Today, we talked about TEDx and TED talks as "calling cards," among other things. I intentionally chose not to use this talk that way because it focuses so much more on my life than on the work I do. Here it is: Be the Hero of Your Change (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpctZ5eQBOw).
