🌱 Love It or Lose It: Crafting the Life You Truly Want/Need
Every year, I spend some time working on a dream board. Some of the things that go on there are related to intentions that I may have for that year. Other things are just pictures that stand out for some reason and I leave room to see how/if they show up in my life during the year. Two pictures stood out to me this morning (see below in the pictures) 💡 “Love it or lose it.” and 💡 “The first step in crafting the life you want is to get rid of everything you don’t.” ✨ Together, they remind us that our energy, time, and attention are precious resources. What we choose to keep in our lives should be rooted in love, purpose, and alignment with who we are becoming. Why this matters: - ❤️ If you love something, nurture it and let it grow. - 🗑️ If something drains you, weighs you down, takes away from other things that are important to you, or no longer serves your growth, it is okay to let it go. Maybe it's not its season or maybe it'll never be its season. - 🌿 Creating space by removing what does not belong allows room for what truly matters. - 🎯 Life becomes clearer when you stop carrying what was never meant for you (maybe part of this is realizing that this is not the season for it! It's not always an all or nothing thing. Sometimes it's a "not yet" thing) Practical applications: - 🏡 Declutter your environment and keep only what adds value or joy. - 🤝 Reevaluate relationships and invest in the ones that bring mutual growth and support; Even if things are not a 1:1 ratio (which sometimes it's not and it's okay)--evaluate the impact that the friendships have generally - 💼 Look at work or commitments. Are they aligned with your deeper goals? Is there enough space for them? - 🧘‍♀️ Examine habits and routines. Which ones move you closer to the life you want? 🔥 At its core, this principle is about intentional living: keep what you love/need, release what you do not, and watch your life transform into something lighter, freer, and more authentic.

Growth Isn’t Inconsistency
Changing your habits, your priorities, or your mind isn’t flaky—it’s growth. What’s one way you’ve changed in the past year?
Growth Isn’t Inconsistency
"It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves" -Sir Edmund Hillary (or George Mallory)
Both Sir Edmund Hillary and George Mallory climbed Everest at different times. While not everyone will scale Everest, everyone will face "mountains"--life transitions, grief, loss, goals, relational and personal struggles. The climb can be exhausting at times, but it can also be beautiful and it can certainly help us grow and find meaning. Here are some of the layers of meaning if you're interested in delving deeper: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 🌄 Layers of Meaning 1. External vs. Internal Challenge - On the surface, climbing a mountain seems like a physical conquest of nature. - But the real battle is against fear, doubt, fatigue, and the limits of one’s will. - The mountain doesn’t change when you climb it — you do....this can be a beautiful transformation 2. Mastery of Self - The quote reflects the idea that growth happens when we overcome our own inner obstacles: procrastination, self-doubt, complacency, fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of loss, etc. - The summit is symbolic, but the true victory is internal mastery. 3. Resilience & Transformation - The harder the climb, the more it reshapes us. - Conquering a mountain doesn’t change the world much — but it shifts how we see ourselves. - It can teach endurance, humility, and confidence. 🌟 Practical Takeaway - Whether it’s starting a new career, recovering from loss, running a marathon, or even just building a habit, the outside thing is never the final measure. - What matters is how much grit, patience, courage, and clarity we cultivate within ourselves. - the point isn’t always the outcome, but who we become by striving ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ⭐Questions to Ponder ⭐: What have been some of your toughest "climbs" in life and what have you gained from it? What "mountain" are you currently trying to conquer?
