Why you should be using Behind the Scenes (BTS) on LinkedIn ⬇️
I’ve been using behind the scenes content and storytelling on LinkedIn for the last 3 months, here's what it's showing me:
- I talk about what I’m building as I’m building it. People connect faster when they can see the process, the mess, the decisions, and the lessons in real time.
- I turn all of my business items into sharable snippets on LinkedIn. Sales calls, content wins, posts that do terrible, client wins, all of it can become content with human context.
- I tie the stories to my brand. Random life updates do very little for me. Behind the scenes works best when it links back to WHAT I do, how I think, and WHY I do it.
- I use my data to guide me. In the last 3 months, the posts that pull people in have clear stories, clear points, and a clear link back to my work. Simple is BETTER.
I don't use any fancy angle to carry my brand here on LinkedIn. People want to feel the person behind the business (and the brand). So, show the process. Then, tell the story.
And stay active on LinkedIn as you would at any other job, and you'll see massive progress.
