Redefining Success and Spirituality & Inner Work
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a few reflections from yesterday's ID@Work Skill Builder session on redefining success — a topic that seems to be alive for many right now. A few threads that stayed with me: - The moment when the old definition of success no longer fits - The identities and expectations we have to let go of in that process - The tension of being "in-between" — where the new isn't clear yet - How inner development skills support this transition (self-awareness, discernment, boundaries…) - And the reminder that our role is not to define success for others, but to support their discovery of it You can read the full newsletter here: [LinkedIn Newsletter] Coming up next week on Tuesday, April 7th, 8.30am: our Skill Builder on Spirituality & Inner Work — exploring the intersection of spiritual practice and inner development, including whether spirituality is reflected in the 23 IDG skills or whether something is missing. It's a topic we don't talk about enough. I hope you'll join us. Warmly, Sarah (& Nadene)

Redefining Success and Spirituality & Inner Work
What's coming up in the IDG@Work community 🌱 in April
We're back with a quick update — and a few things we're genuinely excited about in the coming weeks: 📅 March 31st — Skill Builder: Redefining Success 6 PM Central European Time | Free | There's a growing conversation — especially among women leaving corporate — about opting out of the ambition game and redefining what success means. Sarah will bring some reflection questions and we'll explore together: how can we help the people we work with who are going through this shift right now? 📅 April 2 — Presencing Institute Session: Human Agency Nadene will attend and share back with the community. We'd love for others to do the same. 📅 April 9 — Facilitation Incubator: Building Collaboration | Premium | with Nadene Following on from this week's deep conversation on collaboration, this incubator will look at how we as facilitators can actively build in engagement and ensure real collaboration happens in the room. 📅 May 6, 6.30 pm CET — Special Live Call: Bringing Purpose into Business | Open to all We're hosting a special guest who runs a large consultancy focused on social impact and purpose-driven business. This space is shifting fast — we'll be exploring what that means for us as practitioners. Pop it in your calendar now. A quick note on the different calls 👇 🌿 Skill Builders Free weekly calls — every Tuesday. We build skills, ask powerful questions, reflect individually, and learn together. Times rotate (8:30 / 12:30 / 6 PM CET) based on where members are in the world. 🔑 Premium Calls Two recurring monthly calls for Premium members: Facilitation Incubator (Nadene) — for the craft of designing and facilitating powerful sessions. Sales Lab (Sarah) — for us as practitioners: how to sell ourselves, market inner work, and build a sustainable practice. You can upgrade to Premium here. We'd love to have you !!

Three things - 2 already happened - and the 3rd one is next week :-)
Hello Community here's what's new in the ID@Work Community: 1. 🤖 Human Skills for the AI Era We had such a rich conversation in our Skill Builder on Tuesday, exploring the intersection of AI, the heart, and the mind — sparked by Daniel Pink's A Whole New Mind. We asked: what do we bring that's irreducibly human? What came up in our discussion: 🌍 Context and culture — AI generates content, but humans understand why this story, for these people, right now 🌸 Embodied and feminine knowing — Nadene named it: AI was largely built without women at the table. That shapes what gets captured and what gets flattened. 🤝 Presence — touch, laughter, tears. We can't prompt for that. 💡 Forward thinking + emotional connection — imagining futures we haven't lived yet, holding space for what's unspoken --- 2. 🧪 Sales Lab Recap: Resistance vs Resonance When a client pushes back with "prove it works" or "how do we measure this?", they're not saying no. They're saying: I'm not sure this is safe yet. We explored how to decode those signals — how to hear what's underneath the language of ROI and scalability, and find the entry point that actually resonates. Nadene shared a beautiful metaphor: it's like sowing seeds in soil. You don't force the seed. You read the soil. The recording and updated slides will be available in the community for our Premium members shortly. Here's where you can upgrade to Premium. --- 3. 📅 Skill Builder next Tuesday: 'What do you do when people don't want to collaborate?' Next Tuesday's Skill Builder session takes on one of the most common (and quietly exhausting) challenges in inner development work: what happens when the very people who need to collaborate... don't want to. Open to all members. See you next Tuesday, March 24th, bright and early at 8.30 am CET --- As always, drop your questions, reflections, or encouragements in the comments.

𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐮: First Nations lead 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜
This past week @Wendy Harper hosted on behalf of the Agency of Women, along side Mary Jack, First Nations Elder and founder of Vanuatu’s first grassroots women’s representative body two events at University of Technology Sydney for Climate Action Week Sydney (CAWS), where frontline voices directly confronted the realities of systems change and climate justice. A provocative panel featuring First Nations Australian Polly Cutmore and Bianca McNeair alongside Milly Thomas, Heidi Dumesich and Miia Barrow provided the stimulus to explore the raw realities women face on the climate frontlines. Grounded by Mary’s reality checks, Dr Leila Alem led a systems transformation workshop based on this real-world case study. Participants mapped power dynamics, funding cycles, and the unseen labour of women carrying the burden of resilience efforts across 65 remote islands. THE KEY 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: Meaningful climate intervention starts with listening and providing the resources women need to lead. "Women are not just beneficiaries of climate action; they are its architects." Lived knowledge builds far more durable solutions. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: Workshop outputs will feed into the Sydney Statement on Pacific-Led Climate Resilience, to be delivered to DFAT and the UNFCCC Gender Secretariat by June 2026. 🌊 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 "𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥." Following an acknowledgement of country by Polly Cutmore, frontline voices from Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Indonesia, and Australia addressed the difficult questions: Who bears the burden of the crisis? Who holds the power? And what is Australia's moral responsibility?
