On the Hangout this Tuesday: Co-Created Hope Series?
Hello again, Happy Sunday! Weโ€™d like to invite you to our next Hangout, on Tuesday, Sept 23rd, 8.30am CET. Topic: The Hope Documentary series, an alternative to the Week. I had posted summaries of each episode in this post. @Maria do Cรฉu Bastos and I are curious if anyone else would be up for hosting a series of calls where we each host a conversation around one of the 6 topics. Hereโ€™s a quick summary (by ChatGPT, not me) of the 6 episodes: The Great Opportunity Guide: Paul Hawken This episode opens by showing three real-world cases from different regions tackling climate change. The emphasis is on how solutions already exist that both reduce emissions and lift quality of life. It aims to shift the frame from loss and sacrifice to possibility. The Power of Two Words Guide: Rob Hopkins The โ€œtwo wordsโ€ are โ€œWhat ifโ€ฆโ€. This episode invites people to imagine different ways of doing things: how food could be grown, cities designed, transport arranged. It looks at innovative yet accessible practices โ€” soil regeneration via fungi, rethinking mobility, designing spaces for people โ€” all grounded in imaginative possibility.ย  Metamorphosis Guide: Kate Raworth Focuses on economic systems. It explores Doughnut Economics (Kate Raworthโ€™s model) โ€” how societies can thrive without overstepping planetary boundaries, how economies can regenerate instead of degrade. Itโ€™s about rethinking finance, consumption, growth, and measuring success beyond GDP.ย

New 'Applied IDGs & SDG's learning call on Sept 23rd
Hello Community ! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Mark your calendars for another 'applied IDGs & SDGs' call - this time Barbara Holzner will share their new Plan B Game with us, but also explain how they use it as a way to get into organizations and talk about these important topics! โœจ In this session, Barbara will show you, how her team integrated the Inner Development Goals in an artistic way and how to use the Sustain2030ยฎ PLAN B game to make the IDG tangible, take diverse stakeholders along, and open doors for inner development. โžก๏ธ What is special about the game? PLAN B is a full-day simulation that integrates the SDGs, IDGs and Earth4All turnarounds in a cooperative, interactive format. In a PLAN B workshop, participants face global inequalities and experience hands-on the importance of inner development for sustainable development. This way players learn about the IDGs โ€“ not through listening but acting. When: Tuesday, Sept 23rd, 1pm Where: ID@Work community of course Link: https://www.skool.com/live/LNslR3wSyMV (we'll be using the new Skool live calls) Yes, we'll record it for members but it's always better to be there live if you can! Warmly Sarah P.S. As a heads up, on the same day, at 8.30 am CET we have our next Hangout and I'll bring up the topic of the Hope Series again (alternative to The Week). I summarized the different episodes in this post, and with @Maria do Cรฉu Bastos we're curious if anyone else would be up for hosting a series of calls where we each host a conversation around one of the 6 topics. More info to follow on Sunday.

Highlights from the Client Value Workshop
Dear friends, Our Client Value workshop today was such a rich exchange โ€” thank you to everyone who joined from across the globe! A few highlights: - Language matters. We spoke about bridging the gap between what clients want (often external solutions) and what they truly need (the inner development piece). - Pain points vs. outcomes. In breakout rooms, we harvested words clients use to describe their struggles โ€” powerful insights we can all bring back into our work. - The โ€œsell what they want, give them what they needโ€ paradox. We explored how to frame our work in language that draws people in, while still offering the deeper transformation they may not yet see. - The role of internal movements. Team Green in Germany was shared as an inspiring example of how inner advocates can drive lasting organizational change. Weโ€™re keen to continue this conversation with all of you and will keep you posted about the 6-week challenge. Hereโ€™s to making the invisible value of inner development visible โ€” one conversation at a time. With warmth, Sarah P.S. Donโ€™t forget to join us in our first Decolonization Session with @Rukmini Iyer tomorrow, Aug 28th.ย >>sign up here P.P.S. Iโ€™ve been sharing some of the main takeaways from the docu-series โ€˜Hopeโ€™ as an alternative to โ€˜The Weekโ€™. Iโ€™m curious to read your comments
