Meta Ad Budgets
I'm going to run meta ads for a high ticket product and I was just wondering if you have a rule of thumb for how much spend you'd spend a day when testing a product? I'm used to low ticket budgets, testing at around $60usd a day but that obviously is an insignificant figure when selling a higher ticket product. Also is there a certain spend you'd need to validate a product? I know with meta ads your first sale/sales can be more expensive whilst your ads are more broad and the algorithim is still learning your audience, so if your not getting as significant margins as you'd hope/expect would you just cut and move on or is it more case dependant?
Welcome - Read This First
🚨 IMPORTANT: Read This Before You Do Anything in Import & Scale Welcome everyone, stoked to have you here. Over the last few years, I’ve built several 7 & 8-figure e-commerce brands by importing high-ticket products. I've also had $200K days, hired a full-time team, travelled the world and created a network of high-level business owners. I’ve done all this without massive upfront investment, without relying on luck and without the usual traps most importers/ecom owners fall into. Inside this community, I’ll share everything I’ve learned from real-world experience building brands that have generated millions, including: ✅ How to find high-margin products (without chasing fads) ✅ Supplier & logistics secrets (avoiding the common rip-offs and failures) ✅ Modern sales systems (ads, funnels, outreach, marketplaces) ✅ Scaling playbooks (automation, lean ops, AI tools) ✅ Real behind-the-scenes lessons from building brands today This isn’t theory. It’s what I’ve personally used to build several successful brands while living between New Zealand, Australia & Bali. 👉 Before you do anything else, introduce yourself below: - Who you are - What you do - Why you want to build an import/export business - Your current e-com/brand experience (if any) P.S. I’ll keep adding value here with guides, videos, and breakdowns and if you want me to personally review your business idea, product selection, or strategy, stay tuned for private consulting opportunities. Let’s build some serious brands.

Question about what to expect from 3rd party investor funding applications
Hi Shad, me and a friend have partnered in creating our own line of recovery focused workout supplements. Two out of three of these blends are unique recipes that we are looking to patent and produce through a NZ supplier and distribute through a local 3PL company. I have an appointment lined up with Callaghan innovations for a funding program they provide for new startups that offers 25k towards launch and 2mil once product hits market. I'm wondering if you have any pointers you could give me in preparation when dealing with investors like this and what preparation if any I would need going into it?
Free Training Videos Uploaded To Classroom
I've just added 4x free training videos to the "Classroom" tab at the top of the page. These will be focused around questions I've been getting asked. If you need clarifying on anything just let me know, as I recorded all of them in 1 take. Will be adding more videos every week or so. If you want a video explaining anything - just let me know.
Finding a Good Supplier
Hi everyone I'm currently a university student launching a student-focused kitchenware brand in New Zealand. It's a bundle of essential kitchen items (like cutlery, pans, utensils, etc.) designed specifically for students and first-time flatters. The goal is to offer convenience, aesthetic appeal, and an all-in-one solution, something that saves time and looks great in any flat. I'm currently looking to connect with reliable suppliers (local or international) who can provide: - Quality kitchenware (individual items or complete sets) - Low to moderate MOQs (since I'm starting small) - Potential for private labelling or pastel-coloured options (unisex, Gen Z aesthetic) Would love advice on: - Best ways to approach and vet suppliers - Red flags to avoid - Anyone with experience sourcing similar home or kitchen goods Open to both wholesale and small-batch private label options for now not currently looking for pure dropshipping, but flexible if there's a good model. Happy to chat further or provide a visual reference.
