New Classroom training - PROMPT / SKILL:
I'm getting REALLY good at spotting AI-written content. The annoying em dashes. The dramatic one-line sentences. The "It's not about X. It's about Y" statements. The over used: "Here's the thing." And don't start with "real". Everything is "real customers". What? As opposed to fake ones?
I use AI for my marketing all the time, but I don't want my content sounding like ChatGPT wrote it. And I definitely don't want everyone in this group sounding exactly the same! So I put together 15 writing rules you can add to ChatGPT, Claude, or whatever AI tool you're using.
They help eliminate common AI writing habits, including awkward sentence structures, corporate buzzwords, exaggerated promises, and generic marketing language. And add YOUR brand voice. Tell your AI how you actually communicate. Are you funny? Direct? A little sarcastic? Do you tell stories? Are you more professional or casual? I added the word "fo-shizzle" in mine. Hey there Snoop Dogg fans.
And here's my challenge for you this week:
Take one piece of content you've already created with AI. Run it through your updated instructions and compare the two versions.
I'd love to see the before and after in the comments.
