Ageism is real. ALIVE.
And often unspoken.
It shows up usually in quiet ways:
Companies have silent understandings.
Hiring managers make “fit” decisions.
Recruiters see it, even when it’s not said out loud.
Sometimes it is, loud and clear.
And yet, many organizations celebrate being diverse, inclusive, and equitable…
without questioning the double standard in their own hiring practices.
Experience is valued — until it isn’t.
That contradiction is hard to ignore.
And it’s not just perception anymore.
Even platforms like Workday are facing class action scrutiny tied to age-related hiring concerns.
At some point, this stops being a messaging issue… and becomes a business and accountability issue.
