Is Your Vitamin D level "Too High", "Too Low" or "Normal"
💊 Since the 90's, research on Vitamin D levels has been controversial, with many researchers finding that the RDA or "normal" ranges were not optimal for health.
I was one of the first holistic practitioners in NC, USA to start testing my patients and recommending higher doses than were currently being recommended - as much as 5000 iu/day.
When I had my own test, it was originally under 20 ng/ml and I got sick alot, had joint problems, migraines and hormone imbalance. I started raising it and the last test was in the 80's range.
During COVID, I was an "essential" worker as a chiropractic physician and continued to see patients on a daily basis. I also worked in an Addiction Rehab facility while I was working on my MS in Addiction. I never got COVID! Kind of miraculous given my close contact. I truly believe it was my Vitamin D levels.
So if your between 40-60 ng/ml and thinking that is too high (or your doctor says that's normal) - or even in the 70's - think again. They now believe the best health benefits come from the 60-80 ng/ml range. Stop worrying about taking too much - and start worrying about taking too little.😃
